Let me tell you, as someone who's watched the original show, this is going ALOOOOT faster, It looks like we'll get to the 10 year time skip, when they're adults, real soon. These two episodes packed in a lot in just two episodes, but is truly neccesary to understand their background and the family dynamic before the time skip.
