Yeah I'm equally as curious.. But my little curiosity is or was his infatuation real or was it grown out of jealousy because Gu Hai had and could get bai luoyins affection and no matter how he tried, bai luoyin would not look to him so I was a matter of if I can't get you away from Gu Hai and you won't come to me then even he shouldn't have you.. Sort of like he didn't want Gu Hai to change or have what he didn't have..

I think you've explained it better because I never used to understand Gu hai's cousins obsession with bai luo yin especially when he knew Gu Hai was obsessed and possessive of him.. So I always used to think he used to do it to piss off Gu Hai or just. take what Gu Hai has.. Because it never made sense he didn't know bai luoyin like that.. I sometimes think he was jealous that Gu Hai changed and was loved like that..there's a part in the novel were Gu Hai explains that his cousin broke his toy or whatever or that since they were young his cousin was always crazy or possessive always getting what Gu Hai had or always trying to be. better and get everything better than Gu Hai and even violent cause Gu Hai also mentioned he his v cousin once broke his arm.. so I tend to think it might have been the same attitude towards bai luoyin. But what was funny is it sometimes came off as jealously over Gu Hai.. Sort of I hate you for taking Gu Hai from me.. So I'll punish you because I don't understand what he sees in you.. Or why cant you. pick me I'm better than Gu Hai and everytime he wasnt picked he'd be persistent and more possessive even angry.. Did he like him or did he just want to have everything that wu bi has..or did he hate him.. I never really understood his relationship with the su yu character in the novel.
