A really strong first episode - AGH I'm so excited for the next one!!! The chemistry is so so good, and the humour is on point for me. I love Botkawee's character when he's not hiding his true self from people. 10/10 start
Lighting, aesthetic and music are really nice, but the only time the characters actually have chemistry is when they're not actually talking to each other/following the script. I loved the little forehead touch - that was really lovely, and the bit where they sing together with the fairy lights is visually stunning. However, as nice as this show looks, it's not got the highest quality script, the pacing is strange (one moment they'll go from somewhat being acquaintances/new friends to lovers in the span of 20 odd minutes, and another moment will have a 4 minute montage of a side character looking sad, all within the same 25 minutes.) , and the plot feels a little bland, like lost potential. I'd call this a wallpaper show, where you'd put it on for background music, noise and visuals, rather than to actually *watch* it.
Not NOT worth my time, but I'm definitely glad I had other things to do whilst it was on. I think I'd have a worse opinion of it otherwise.
It’ll prompt you to download it, but if you click the little arrow to the right of the title of the video (it’s a series of letters and numbers since that’s how they save and I’m not sure how to change the file name) it should allow you to choose to either view it or download it - you shouldn’t need to download it to watch it :)
Episode 2 has been translated! Eng Sub will be coming as quickly as possible - Every episode has been almost completely translated, and I will work quickly as possible to get the next episode done.
Im gonna start watching this, but seeing all the comments over the last few weeks, I know it’s gonna be a wild, emotional ride…
Diving in now, wish me luck!
Edit 31/10/22: alright, damn - what I got wasn’t at all what I was expecting. This was actually such a comfortable watch, and it felt like I was living alongside them, feeling their feelings and watching them grow, and despite there being nothing too “special” about the show, there being no “drama” or “plot” (there definitely is a plot just not one like…. Idk I can’t find the right word), this one will definitely stick around in my head because of the way all the characters are brought to life by the actors. It’s not pain inducing, but you can feel the ache when the characters hurt, and you can feel the joy when they’re happy. Definitely worth the watch.
I’m looking forward to episode 13, but I’m scared to watch it aaaaaaaa
