The old version of the series that Iqiyi dropped in February consists of 78 episodes with 20 minutes duration each.
Then it was taken down due to censorship issue.
They finally managed to get it broadcast internationally, the ones that you can see on Viu and Viki.
So for the international broadcast, they re-packed the 78 episodes into 38 episodes with 40 minutes duration.
There is no cut or additional scenes on the re-pack version.
The difference is they removed the NRTA approval and adding the opening-ending song on each episode.
If I may suggest, please watch it on the legal platforms like Viu or Viki, whichever possible for you.
You can watch this series in a much better resolution and proper subtitles so that you can see the various expressions of flirty yet charismatic Ruan Lanzhu and the oblivious nerdy Ling Jiushi.
If you insist to watch it on non-legal websites, I beg you to at least find one with the proper subtitles.
It was very annoying and iritating to watch this series with improper subtitles especially after finding the word s*x and p*ns word on the subs, right?
[That is the reason why I did the English fan subs. I found those 2 annoying words that ruined my first experience watching this]
It will be impossible to understand the beauty of this series wholeheartedly if we don't watch it with proper subs.
