I really liked "Ran", the character Hidetora reminded me a of Kabuki theater a lot. His masterpiece is "Seven samurai". "Rashomon" is also very good. "Ikiru" isn't a samurai movie but I recommend it anyway, a sketch of 50s Japan and human condition.

This is one of the most hilarious Japanese drama I've ever watched. The opening song is just beautiful

I believe it really lasts 1h30m, and about 50 mins are the "Pure Love segment" missing on the 38min videos you can find on the Internet. Someone knows where this segment can be found?
