Seriously, I can't believe the amount of people that are rooting for SML to succeed. Every time I see his face I'm super creeped out.
The voice of the villain lady doesn't match her face. I really don't understand the need for dubbing in China dramas. At times even the ML's voice sounds foreign... well that's because it's not his voice!! The only times it didn't feel weird is when SFL is speaking, and FL with SFL scenes were gold for me. They were both speaking naturally. When FL's voice were dubbed, it was her own voice (except for during some of her dubbing acting) and that's fine, cause her voice matches her face. This is why I can't watch any series with dubbed voices (for main characters).. I did finish this series because I'm trying to understand the dubbing community that they have. But I'm just so bothered by the glaring disparities of their speech and their face.. sorry for the rant
I've just finished this series and I honestly don't get why people think FL is annoying. She is rough, sure, but very straightforward and righteous. Throughout the series, FL and her friends are the most mature characters. And she is the one that carries the relationship with ML. ML is insecure and timid. One of the thing that sends a bad message is when the older adults refer to Bian Cheng as "mature than his peers". He is book smart and calm but definitely not mature, hence his bad actions. While FL is playful and is misinterpreted as childish. I really enjoyed the show and greatly appreciate the actors' efforts in performing the skating actions.
I'm so glad I watched Chef Hua before this. That character was such a good girl, and because it wasn't that long ago, the feeling carried over. So when the FL is being childish, it was tolerable. If the General is 20 then FL is probably 15-17?
Currently on episode 8 and Director Fang is so creepy my goosebumps won't go away! Please tell me he doesn't stay this way for the rest of the series, I can't handle the creepiness...
I don't get the "slow start". For me, the first 4 episodes was a roller-coaster of emotions. I teared up a few times too. I'm on episode 5 now and they just turned adults! That scene got me excited! Gonna keep watching!
For me this is a top drama. These characters act their age. This is truly a feel good romance series. Really, life is hard enough already, don't need to watch that stress as well!
