Her half sister exposed her nonsense. If her sister had not exposed her in front of everybody, she would never had said a word because she is obsessed with the ML and she will try anything to keep him.
She still have the nerve to be angry with the ML because he won't come visit her. He was fed up with her schemes.

If II remember correctly, she got pregnant by some guy in a bar who took advantage of her when she was drunk. They never showed his face. She ask the ML to create the lie with her that he was the father until the baby was born in order to fool her parents so she could keep the baby. He stupidly agreed to her request because of a promise/debt he made to her years back when she persuaded her father to invest in his business or he would have lost everything, or it was something close to that (I think my memory is correct about that.) She promised her dad she would go abroad to study like her parents have been trying to get her to do for a while.
She selfishly held him to that promise to do anything she asked him to do in the future if she ever needed him. But she saw this as a way to keep him even though she knew he didn't love her. After the baby was born, she was suppose to tell the truth to everyone so the ML could be free to live his life again, but she did not want to let him go.
By the warning comments, this is definitely a "No," for me. The good classic dramas, usually tend to lean towards sad endings, even the Western one also.
Maybe that person thought he\she saw the whole drama. I'm just guessing.

Yes, the female lead did get together with Hawick Lau in episode 40, the last episode. He confessed and showed her how much he was in love with her in a a very romantic and special way, and she let him know that she was in love with him. They kissed and became an official couple.
