So basically I’m watching this for SML ByeonWoo-Seok. His acting is so good it’s literally casting a shadow over all the other MLs. His managed to make a hardcore villian likeable, so much so that most viewers are rooting for him and Nam-soon to be together.
Having said that, the script and directing is questionable at best. eg. to name but one, the ML uses his Ford Bronco as an allrounder, picking her up from “work”, using it for stakeouts etc. IDK, That car should’ve been noticed looong ago. I won’t even get into grandma’s side romance and her sickly son ….
I need a happy ending for Ji Chong Wook in this drama, still recovering from his last drama, The worst of Evil. Thought a brilliant drama, the end was mind boggling. Professionally he achieved what he had set out to do, but personally everything fell apart. I need a spin-off.
I watched both dramas and thoroughly enjoyed each of them. I guess it all boils down to preference.
These are 2 very different dramas. It’s like comparing apples with oranges. The netizens who drew comparisons are probably smoking their socks.
MY is one of the most beautifully written slow paced healing dramas, I’ve come across and it’s set in a breathtaking location in the Yunnan Province. I caught myself often just smiling while watching some episodes. It was so beautiful, joyful & peaceful. For me, perfection.
HCCC is a vibrant romcom, in a beautiful colorful seaside village with very ”colorful” characters who had me in stitches. I just fell in love with the 2 dimpled Leads and the forever nosy/gossiping villagers. It was a commercial hit, both domestically and internationally not surprising at all. My perception is it come at a time when most of us needed some laughter and color in our lives amid the pandemic. Loved the drama.
First got to know of Go Kyung Pyo through the drama Reply 1988, which was/is brilliant! Since then I’ve come to appreciate his work. He is such a fertile actor and just love his facial expressions, hence I watched this drama because of him. Personal the storyline between Park Min Young FL and 2ML (Kim Jae Young) was just nonsense and could have been left out! The scenes between Go Kyung Pyo and Park Min Young (main couple) and the office workers had me in stitches, which saved the drama for me. It‘s a funny, light hearted romcom and I found it great fun to watch.
I don’t feel he needs to keep on apologizing for something he didn’t do. Can everybody just move on and be happy and excited for this amazing talented actor!
Your comment is on point! It was such a frustrating drama and in some episodes it felt like it sucked all the life out of me. I kept watching in the hopes it would get better, sadly no. Wang Hedi needs to be more selective in the scripts he chooses going forward. I just don’t understand your generous rating and why you’d have to adjust your other ratings? If the system suggests ratings it’s a little flawed I say. Excuse my ignorance - 1st time commenting.
