Oh how lovely!! Not exactly what I was expecting but a good experience! Somehow felt western-y (which is a weird thing to say since a korean period) maybe it was the music (which, might I add, was enchanting) or how the story played out. Anyway very nice film and I recommend it, and I always love seeing Yoo Seung Ho and Park Chul Min act together!
Is my love for Jung Kyung Ho and my interest in the time period enough to watch this? I'm not a fan of endless political conspiracies. Should I still try?
I have no idea why I watched this. I usually research films and the actors before even adding them to my long PTW list but anyway for some reason I watched this without knowing what to expect. It's a story about a crime and an unidentifiable body in a small village and the people who are somehow involved. It uses some time flashbacks and jumps so that everything at the end comes together adequately, although I could complain that it sometime uses color filters which I personally dislike, also it's sometimes difficult at first to know at what point in time a particular scene is happening (but perhaps I just wasn't paying enough attention).
Overall I enjoyed it, but it's not a personal favorite. It's relatively slow paced which I liked. Since I seem to be the first to rate it on MDL, I'll give it a safe 8.5 because I don't want to discourage others from seeing it.
I've never seen the 90's as the past before haha! It's kinda like going from the present to a slightly older present... Then I realize it was over 20 years ago... Man! This movie sounds fun!
I don't know whether to start it now because I'm desperate or to wait because I made that mistake with Love me if you dare and am suffering waiting each week!
