I love everything about it! It was 10/10 already but because of the extra episode, it went to 11/10. š„¹š«¶š»
Also, I feel like most of us are still stuck in FIYS trope lol, why are we hating on this masterpiece? Just because itās about business? Just because her friends got their own stories? But I love Liliās story. š„¹ Also, I love how they can make me feel butterflies but also feel anxious when theyāre fighting. Wdym thereās no chemistry? Huhu did you even watch the same thing? Or were you just expecting the usual cliche tropes? I donāt understand. š¤·š»āāļø
I LOVE IT. Other than the fact that I love LOVE both CJH and PEB so much, the story is just amazing. š They tapped in the dreams of people, laws about domestic violence, identity theftā¦it just got everything. The emotions feel so raw and the actors did so well. CJH really, his eyes⦠during the scene where they were all wearing masks and theyāre talking to the dad in the ICU, his and PEBās eyes were full of emotion. (I just took notice which one of them would give the best emotions thru the eyes during that scene š)
As opposed to most thoughts about the ending, I actually felt like itās the most proper. Iāve been thinking about it since halfway the drama how heās gonna end upā¦like will he continue to be a chaebol or will he go back to his lifeā¦I was lowkey hoping for him to keep all the money he earned thru Miracle cuz that was his future self not exactly THE Jin Do Jun. But, the more I thought about it I felt like going back to the way he was was the right thing cuz itās not like he didnāt have family. I was just sad that he had to leave the newfound family he has from Jin Do Jun. As he said, it was like paying back for what he owe JDJ from the accident so thereās nothing to do about that. Also, as opposed to most time-travel genres where they put heavily on the ādonāt tamper with the past too much or youāll affect the futureā, this series wasnāt like that at all which I LOVE, rather itās āhowever you try to change the past, itās not going to affect the future that has already happened.
Totally agree,I feel like every time there is a drama where the story is deeper with a strong scenario and complexe…
Yes! I donāt want people to think that I think Iām better than anyone else so I never voiced it out but I totally agree. Most of the time when the storyline is deep and not the usual cute dramas, people tend to dislike them? And Iāve seen this with both Korean and Chinese dramas
I wish I had known that this is based on a true love story because then I could have prepared myself from what was to come. I never read up on the synopsis of a drama nor do I allow myself to get spoiled at all cost so most of the time I go in blind; but this is one of the disadvantages lol. All historical k dramas (especially royal-related ones) based on true stories more often than not leave me broken. Learned from years of being a kdrama enthusiast. š„²
I love this drama so much but why you give me a headache. Felt like I could have filled a bucket. And last episode is like 1hr 40minsā¦I CRIED FOR THAT LONG šš¤
Reading the comments and Iām not even surprised LOL. MDL users always do not agree with me hahaha. Anyways, this storyline, despite being rooted at such a fictional theme, the amount of human realistic qualities are insane. Please tell me that they did not just visually portray everyone when Covid broke out? And please tell me that they did not just portray human nature in the best way possible? If yaāll are still talking about how the story was not āgrippingā enough but arenāt talking about how the uninfected people became the monsters and the infected person walks around trying to keep them safe, then please watch again. I donāt know what you watched, but I just watched the entire society shamed in national TV.
this is an entertaining idol drama with a good production but I think it's overrated, it has way too many plot…
I actually agree with you. I did enjoy the whole series very much and miss the casts dearly after it all finished but the 'storyline enthusiast' in me couldn't turn a blind eye over the plot holes. However, that being said, I don't think it took away the essence of the whole series nor the greatness of it. If not for the storyline, the greatness of this series lies on the great acting and exquisite casting. Especially the main actors and actresses brought so much life into their characters that it's possible to ignore the plot holes. However ignoring it doesn't it mean it's not there.
That how i feel about him too. I don't watch that many chinese dramas, but ever since i know xukai, i watched…
I would also like to see all of his dramas but I think it might take a while to get into another one after ALP. This one set the bar so high, I think it'll be difficult to settle for less than this. I need to let the heat subside first before I get into another drama of his. In fact, maybe even just another drama in general.
Have never been drawn to Chinese Historical Dramas to be very honest. But, I fell in love with Xu Kai in Falling Into Your Smile and Arsenal Military Academy⦠so what do I do if everything else that he has under his name are historical dramas? I WATCH THEM š My first try was The Legend but that didnāt work well for me for multiple reasons. Next try was Dancing in the Sky Empire, it was okay and the story is pretty good and I was able to finish it but I SKIPPED A LOT. Then I keep seeing good comments about Ancient Love Poetry under YT videos of FIYS and the praises they give there so I knew I have to get onto this and have another āTRYā. And man⦠TRY I didnāt do. I LOVE IT. NO SKIP from beginning to end to the point that on my last 4 episodes, I literally felt sad that the end was near. But what to do? I think from this moment on, every prejudice against Chinese Historical Dramas have been flushed away and now Iām ready for more. I love all the casts here but let me be biased over Xu Kai cuz DAMNNNN, that guyās a beast. His expressions are always on point and he knows how to embody all of his characters. His teary eyes can drive me to tears; when he was pretending to hate Houchi, a very subtle twitch of the eyes that showed he was lying could have been easy to miss but he did it so well. Powerful Baijue, Sad Baijue, In love Baijue, Sweet Qingmu, Humble Qingmu, In love Qingmu⦠my god. šā„ļøšš¤§ He was so good that even when the viewers knew heās being an ass to save Shanggu, all the comments were hating on him. Xu Kai, this is final. I am going to be watching every single project that you have. šš¼šš¼šš¼ā„ļøā„ļøā„ļø
Imo, it was good from start to finish. I agree that the first episodes are a bit hard to follow because it literally jumps from one flashback and into another flashback within that flashback LOL but actually I suggest going back to the scene a few seconds if you donāt understand is a good way to go about it. Also, if there are some legal jargons that are hard to understand, itās good to search them up. Tho I really didnāt because Iām the lazy type so I just follow context clues and sometimes Google explanations are harder to understand hahaha. I really enjoyed the drama a lot. I thought Iād be bored but I wasnāt. It did feel like I was back in college and my brain literally getting fried but I enjoyed that the most. Definitely recommended. I learned a lot about law in this.
Loved it! I didn't check the ratings nor did I check why it only got 12 eps and was extremely sad and disappointed when I realized it after watching. I could have had 4 more episodes of this! And yet... I know I truly love a drama when I count down the episodes like, "Oh no, just 4 eps left." And I have been doing that since ep 3. I can't move on.
But anyways, to watch this, one should be emotionally invested in it to really love it. At first it was too vague and confusing because too many parts that didn't make sense at all. But I still continued to watch because I know Jung Hae In series tend to be slow. And thank goodness I did. It was a beautiful drama and nothing else can describe it. It was aesthetically pleasing in every sense of the word. The places, the thoughts, the story line, the emotions; everything was aesthetic to me. I'm very glad I watched it. I hope I can buy the whole story as a book tho, including all the cuts. Is this even possible...*sighs at the corner*
Mydramalist reviews are ALWAYS questionable to me. ???? I donāt understand why Itaewon Class got a lot of negative reviews here. I mean in my point of view it was well done and if one would actually put into account what happened in the past, the progress of the story fit together well.
Anyhows, no one will probably agree with me but my most favorite scene was when Saeroyi knelt down in front of Jang Dae Hee. Three reasons: 1. The scene was SHOT BEAUTIFULLY (cinematography ?). I canāt believe PSJ could look that powerful with just his back shown while kneeling down. 2. I love it because even when PSJ was kneeling down to show some kind of āsurrenderā, he was dominating that scene! I couldnāt take my eyes off him. 3. I didnāt feel disappointed that after all he had done he still had to kneel down because I actually felt Jang Dae Hee pitiful in that scene and I think it was the same reason Saeroyi decided to kneel down. He was just not worth it anymore. LOL

Of course Dal Geon should be the one who needs to assassinate her, thatās why I love that last scene a lot. ???? Am I weird? But I just think that the season 2 Story got so much potential just because of that scene.
But I agree...I waited so much for this whole series Imma suffer if I have to wait just as much time. LOL
Edward Park (with his mercenary Black Sun) was the one who planned the crash because he wanted to take over the…
That's a very good point because otherwise they really can't do anything about it anymore because the government is controlled. They would most likely be hand-tied. So I guess she's acting as "traitor" already but probably with the help of her group from NIS. Looking at how vagabond went, I feel like Haeri had a conversation with Chief Kang before she came out of the prison.
The ending really kept us on edge. It's a really good cliffhanger. Will make the Dal Geon - Hae Ri reunion more worthwhile to watch LOL.
So why did they do that to the plane .. i feel so dumb // who is good and who is bad// wth did i watch // confusion…
Edward Park (with his mercenary Black Sun) was the one who planned the crash because he wanted to take over the korean government. He needed to take out the current president and replace him with his own minion. To be able to do that, he has to do something huge that could lead to the presidentās impeachment. He used the presidentās greed for power and money.
So plane crash happened. Blame was put on Dynamic. Jessica foolishly jumped into the scenario thinking it was beneficial for her cuz Dynamic plane faulty then John and Mark gets higher chance. So Edward āhelpedā Dal Geon to āexposeā Jessica. But president doesnāt want it exposed cuz will lose 500M$ + prime minister leading him to bad decisions subtly. So president covered it up. Now prime minister and his nephew already got something against him. So nephew turned against Jessica already with his recordings. Jessica in prison and president impeached. Can change president already with his minion. After PM(minion) took over he immediately wanted to change govt officials for his benefit (I guess). But PM said cannot change cuz only president can do it. So PM needs to win presidential election and the only way to do that is to do that Kiria project successfully. Which as we can see from last ep Hae Ri has most likely become the lobbyist for that govt.
Or something like that? Maybe? Hahahha As far as I can understand. But wow my head just popped a vein ????
wait isn't it playful kiss of korea? I bet that is much more interesting to watch than this one.
In season 2 there are a lot of romantic scenes and they come naturally. They really look like husband and wife. However the romantic scenes are still a little bit stiff especially the kissing scenes which are always held back kind of way but did you know that the lead actress was just 16 during 1st season and 17 during second season? Then the male lead is actually 30 at that time. I freaked out when I found out tho. Haha. Then it was understandable to me.
