I love this. This is a truthfully accurate review. I actually lol'd at the "drinking game" suggestion..!!! What baffles me is that I saw zero enraged comments on ep27. Is there no one outraged abt ep27? They make a heavily pregnant woman who can be in labour any time now, FLY because her husband is injured and in ICU. The danger of flying in that state along with the immense stress they subject her to, it's one of the cruellest things in this drama yet it's considered normal? Dutiful even? I think you made excellent observations - like this poor child being passed around - that pretty much pinpointed what I mention above. Oh and I would have loved a "no animals were harmed" disclaimer but I guess I expected too much.
If they were using authentic historical makeup, they'd be even paler. Women in ancient China wore a white foundation/powder…
Couldn't agree with you more!! Aesthetics in general can make or break a production in my opinion, no matter the budget. Thank you for the recommendation! I will most definitely check this out!
If FL announces that she's pregnant and we don't get a moment of extended intimacy, I'mma throw hands. For Real.…
Damn... It gets worse? I'm still on episode 10 and was waiting for someone to rant about all the interrupted kiss scenes. Do they ever kiss? :( I think there's only one in the flashback episode so far.
I'm on ep29 and I'm too scared to keep watching based on the comments...! Why did I get so invested in this??? Their interactions were sooo freaking cute! My heart exploded during some scenes! I kept rewatching! I have now become a Jeremy fan. Also, I read that this was low budget but truly excellent set design! Bravo!
how so? is it slow burn? or does it lack romance all together? i'm currently on episode 18 and haven't seen signs…
So, the ones I'm watching, I'm really struggling with and contemplating whether to drop or not. I don't know if I should recommend any - you can have a look at my profile under Louz's lists> Currently watching. However, I'm waiting for Call it Love and Road Home episodes to accumulate in order to binge. So many on my watch list but I'm hesitating.. and hoping for new ones to drop such as Joseon Attorney and My Fireworks on Earth 🙏

I found it overall stagnating and the ending was rather rushed, the initial sparkle is lost, even when they do get together (episode 31). I was certainly looking for more romance, in terms of depth and chemistry and all I found was some smiles and a very few moments of tension. I guess either the actors were held back massively or the scenes were edited massively..
These sort of choices/dynamics perhaps could only work if this was a purely teenage/school drama and the timeline was only a couple of years. The reality is that in a span of a few years so many things happen that change you rapidly. Clearly, the creators have forgotten how it is to be a teenager moving to adulthood. Unrelatable and unrealistic. Shame, because it had potential and totally missed the build up of a satisfying slow burn romance..
