It got a bit draggy in the middle and I fastforwarded a lot of scenes but the last episode was so beautiful. I even broke out into tears and quite enjoyed the finale.
Which episode did the main leads started dating???
I'm sorry for replying late. The main couple got together in episode 13 though they had romantic feelings for each other since the beginning. If you haven't watched this yet, I hope this information will be helpful to you
I came here as I'm REALLY upset and sorry for ZZH. I have watched only one drama of him and I am not even a fan of him but his issue has been bothering me. I mean he is stupid for posting such photo but the punishment for his mistake is so severe. How could they destroy one man's career built for 10 years within 24 hours just because of a photo? I know this is a sensitive issue but I feel so unfair how the whole country just BANNED him for a mistake he did a few years ago. Our country suffered A LOT because of Japan and British colonization in the past so I know the painful experiences of our citizens during that time and I can understand how Chinese people feel. But it all happened in the past and we are living in the present. We don't forgive their cruel acts done to us at that time but we don't keep hatred in our hearts and think of them as enemies right now. Time has changed and we have good relationship with those countries at present. I don't expect the same behaviors or attitudes from Chinese people but they can handle this situation better than this. They seem like patriotic but they have destroyed their own citizen's life because of their hatred for a foreign man of the past. Although ZZH made a mistake, he deserves a second chance but his career in C-ent is over now. Even Kris didn't get such reaction and punishment. Hope ZZH can take care of his mental health.
I know this drama is not for everyone so it might be boring for some people. For me, it was slow but nice. I actually enjoyed this very much for certain parts. Osts were the best thing of this drama. In addition, some scenes were shot very beautifully like when Hyun Jin and Da Hee walking in the rain. They looked so good together and the background music matched the tone of those simple but beautiful scenes. I also like how all the cast didn't overact and tried to portray their roles perfectly.
Never mind. I asked for a spoiler and you just told me the ending as it was.
And yes. Most Chinese dramas have open/sad endings, especially in dramas of fantasy genre. You might not have noticed Oho Ou in MDG because he was just a cameo there. Remember Liang Mu Ze's friend who is the father of Xiao Jun? I saw a video clip of the main couple in this drama and thought it'd be interesting and realized the male lead is Oho Ou. I think Victoria and he will have nice chemistry. Too bad the ending of the drama was messed up.
What you said made me completely lose motivation to watch this drama. If the ending is terrible like that, I guess I will just skip this drama. I really wanna watch Oho Ou as a male lead after watching him in My Dear Guardian. It sucks that open endings ruin most good Chinese dramas.
Thanks. You mean they ended up together but it was not satisfying? Ahh. I don't understand Chinese dramas. They tend to make disappointing endings. It's a pity the ending was open as I was having good expectations for this drama.
They are adults with responsibilities, male lead has a son, so don't expect crazy teenage love. Lot's of politics,…
Well, I didn't expect crazy teenage love by basing on the sypnosis. I was looking forward to seeing mature romance and political affairs so I'm okay with subtle romance. Thanks for warning me. I guess I will try it to see if it fits my taste.
I would say both but may be a little bit more political, I usually skip some political parts, however the romance…
Cool. I was hoping for this type of reply. Looks like I need to be patient a bit more until it is finished airing. I am more than ready to watch this. Thanks a lot for enlightening me.
“the female lead is lovely, smart, strong & sweet, my kind of girl. According to Lidge, she feels that this…
Cool. I thought director was Zhao Li Jun who directed Dream of Chang An? So, it isn't the case. According to all appearances, that female director is pretty intresting. It will be so good to see Yuan Bingyan as a badass than a normal naive heroine.
I get the feeling that this will be my very first asian series where I root for the second male lead than the main male lead. Hope filming will be done sooner.
This drama stands out among the low-budget dramas. The plot is pretty juicy and the main leads have amazing chemistry. My heart beats faster whenever Li Teng and Nian Chu are being lovey-dovey. So cute. Hope the news for season 2 will be confirmed soon with the original cast.
I feel you. I don't know why PP is being slow subbing this project. I guess they have been pretty busy these days.…
Ikr. PP did a very fast subbing on L&R so I had high hopes when they picked up this drama. I thought I wouldn't have to wait very long for the new episodes. But they've uploaded ep 12 today. Have you seen it? For me, I've completed the drama. I can't speak Chinese either but I'm used to listening to Chinese speakers and can understand some of what they say by dint of years of watching C-dramas. So it was not a problem for me to watch raws unless there are many complicated terms.
