Personally I think the scowl in her eyes is just how the character is written.
Just because she’s good in others, doesn’t automatically make her good here. Her best performance probably in that sageuk with Na In Woo. Other than that, she doesn’t really show any strong acting either. Regarding Kim Yuna, she is an athlete AND a goddess. She has the aura that Ji Hanna doesn’t exudes much.

I have the same thought as you. Same expression all over again in any situation she’s in. Scenes with male lead, flat. Confronting the bad guy, flat. I know she has cold personality, but even her cold facade is not cold enough
I’m enjoying this so far, especially the action part. Park Bo Gum is super brilliant in this, he shows off his range and once again proves his worth as an A list actor. Watching him nails all kind of emotions on screen is satisfying.
On the other hand, Kim So Hyun’s performance is quite a disappointment. I don’t know if what went wrong, but she has no soul in her eyes. She gives the same look with a slight scowl on her face no matter the situation. Her acting looks especially flat when she shared screen with Bo Gum and Oh Jung Se. Also her looks makes her far from the supposed goddess she’s described in the drama. She looks pretty, but more girl next door type of pretty.
Her fans probably will flock here and call me a hater or even worse the ml’s fans. But really, I wish she improves in the next episodes especially for her emotional acting.
Min Jun Young and Kim Jong Hyeon are also reserved character with not much expressions but the actor still deliver with their acting
