I gave it an 8 too because of the acting. Could have been a 9+ if it had spent more time on the main two leads. Also, the ending was rushed.

Much too much time was spent on side characters like FL's friend and her issues. Also, too much time was spent on SML. Not enough time was given to the growing love between the main leads. I liked the series but was completely disappointed in the last 2 episodes. Not a rewatch for me. If they want to improve this series, they need to do an epilogue to clean things up.

I loved this series a lot but we really do need an epilogue at least. It ended so abruptly with respect to the two main leads. For two people who deeply loved each other, I felt that there wasn't enough satisfying resolution in their relationship.

However, I am aware that the series followed the book closely. This doesn't mean that more positive additions with regard to the main leads' romantic relationship couldn't have been added.

I've watched up to ep 6 and then started skipping around and it got worse and worse. So I dropped it. I really like LGX (especially in Master of My Own) but not 40 episodes.

The end of ep 12 where Gu is at the funeral is spectacular. I have played it over and over again. Only 4 more episodes. Sad.

I think you will like it more and more as you watch more episodes. Ep 12 is the most interesting so far. I'm so glad you liked it.

When do ML/FL find out that SML was part of the crocked deal for the downfall of ML and ML's father? Maybe ep 30/31? Any idea?

You made an interesting observation- I agree, FL should have been stronger but too many things were impinging on her and she made a good final decision to dump SML.
FL was a victim of her past treatment from ML and then from SML. Poor woman, she was overwhelmed. But both she and ML are finally recovering.

Oh please do! It's one of the best dramas I've ever seen. If you find it a little slow at the beginning, the pace moves, and the emotions it imparts are deep.

Just finished Ep 12. I can't believe how outstanding this drama is, in every respect: acting, writing, cinematography, OST, and close camera work.
This series will be forever one of my favorites and incomparable to other series.
