What to expect?

You can watch this for a light hearted distraction from real life fall-outs and their chemistry is not too bad. Though as an avid BL fan, i think this series should've focused more on heesu and his love interest rather than the other couple.
Just like every other k-bl, the show focuses more on the confession part yet often falters back on showing their relationship development. The actors were great but the plot could've focused more on heesu and his lover.
I would recommend people watching it but obviously compared to thai, japanese and taiwanese bl, i think korean bls need to be a little bolder by focusing on the boys as they often side track the mls in a mix, gay-staright couple serie just like this one.

When xio ma finally hears

I just finished watching the movie today and i absolutely loved it. Every scene from the movie touched my heart at a level i hoped that it would. Especially the scene where mumu parts from the mahjong family while all of them waved her tearful goodbyes. The story very accurately depicts the life of the deaf community in the society where they almost feel paralyzed due to people's inability to understand them. The sad part of the movie is just how much a hearing impaired individual has to rely on external help to survive in day to day life that we live in a blink of an eye without any problems.
Lay did an amazing job at acting out the father role oozing with pure and innocent love for his daughter wanting to give his all to her. The naive want of making his daughter stay by hiring top class lawyers without any money to give and the problems in getting a normal job to fulfill basic wants and requirememts of his life was sad yet very understandable.

All in all, the whole movie was absolutely beautiful and a must watch for people who might want to watch something with a deep topic and heart-touching story.

A j-bl that balances between dark plot and light theme.

I usually like japanese bl because of it's light themes or extremely dark storyline but this serie was somewhere in the middle. The storyline was good and consistent, it didnt feel tiring or the story didnt lose its plot over the course of it's 6 episodes.
By the standards of acting, the actors did a pretty good job at it and all the actors included no matter how big or small the role was did an incredible job at making a positive impression on the audience.

Is it worth the watch?

This drama was totally unexpected from the c industry to launch. First of all, never expected a periodic bl drama. Secondly, the show touched a very real and raw feeling of how love can be the best and the worst thing in life for some people. Zhi ang's love was true and loyal in his eyes but proved to be tragic and painful to Shu he. I kept wondering if i was in Shu He's shoes, i would've taken the same step in my story as well.
Some of the few actors, especially the main leads did a great job at making the characters so loveable and painfully adored by the audience.

I think by far, it was one of the most amazing series of 2025. The bl was consistent with the story line, by far one of the best in the terms of direction and production of a thai bl.

~acting~
All the actors did an amazing work in making the series a 100× more touching and brought immense feeling from the audience. All the actors especially the mls and supporting characters did a phenomenal work. Most of the times, the small cgaracters aren't that skilled and show a hint of inexperience in their work, but this cast, from the villagers to the students and the monks, everyone did great.

~Chemistry~
ChanJet (2nd couple) had a striking chemistry from the begining to the end. Their Nc scenes was also something i didnt expect , the first time Charn fell into the river and amazed the audience with his visuals and their 'first time' was also directed really well pulling the audience in.
Coming to the MC Peemkhem, all i can say is, they brought in emotions from me that i didnt think was pissible after officially watching all the 105 bls I've previously seen. Their NC was so beautiful that it perfectly captured their innocence and pure facination of spending their nights together. The way their touches and intimate scenes were so slow, tender and felt like they were cherishing every moment they had together while simultaneouly learning throughout the process since both were each other's 'first'. The director did the greatest job on showcasing their emotions perfectly in these scene when most of the bls even on their 'first time' go too fast kinda forgeting to live the moment and deeply cherish each other.

~plot~
The plot was beautifully interconneted even after the time spaces and plot chages vetween them. The twist in the last episode made me appreciate the series even more as to how they tricked rampheung, the backstory of the monk, Net just swooping into the story out of nowhere (i liked it too).
Overall, the series was the best of year 2025 after coming super close to the end of the year.
