I enjoyed this drama as well for a sake of my dear Satoh Takeru because I am a huge fan. There are few things which…
Again, I've tried to re-watch all 10 episodes due to the COVID-19 which I completed that a few hours ago...
...But I still think, there was no chemistry between Satoh and Mone. Satoh was perfect in his roll but Mone, I think she is totally a mis-casted in this roll. I still felt like they look like an older brother and an extreme age gaped younger sister to me.
The way she dressed and overall look of her proportionally not really pretty might probably be the major factor, I guess.
I really loved Satoh and Nagano coupling much more convincing and believable to be honest.
I enjoyed the acting from everyone, plot wise nothing new. Mone/Sakura was good but at times her "cutesy" acting…
I enjoyed this drama as well for a sake of my dear Satoh Takeru because I am a huge fan.
There are few things which bothered me the most. It was the female lead. I don't know if this is a Japanese thing but bowing gestures in all the episodes extremely annoyed and really bothered me. Bowing to the seniors to show respect are OK but when it comes to being a couple, bowing and kneeling gesture NOT OK. Rather, they should equally be in the same position not to be in high(man) and low(woman) position.
Also, I know she is cute and tiny but when they are in the same frame visually overall, she doesn't look great with Satoh at all to be honest. They just look like a siblings or friends rather than a loving couple in my opinion. She needs to be aware that she has very short/tiny/proportionally not so pretty. The way she dressed in the regular clothes in the drama is also the major part that disappoint me. I don't know if she has coordinator to dress her or not. She looks like a high school kid.
Perhaps, I thought maybe because of their age gap...hummmm. I didn't think so. It wasn't the age gap...look at Satoh in his previous drama called, 'Half Blue' with Mei Nagano, they showed a great picture perfect chemistry both visually and portrayed her character really well. Shockingly, she is actually one year younger than Mone which surprised me.
And I agreed on NO SECOND SEASON. He'd better off working on other project with the right female lead who can support both visually and characterizing well in the drama.
Yes, there are few kisses but...visually they don't look like a romantic couples. Mone looks too young like she could easily be a high school student when Satoh looks appropriate in his age. Throughout, I felt so unpleasant to watch them kissing.
I feel like Satoh was perfected for the roll but...In the other hand, Mone was miscasted for the roll as Sakura in my opinion.
Does this get better with newer episodes? Because the start wasn't great tbh.
Well, the story gets better but the chemistry between the leads are still missing and lacking. There are few kisses in the episodes but doesn't look like a romantic couple to be honest.
not bad... but feels like i wasted time on this. Nothing new on the story and absolutely no romantic chemistry…
Totally, I really agreed...Mone's fan will stoned me for this. I admit, she is a great actress and I've seen her other project clips on Youtube but...When she is with Satoh in the same frame, they don't look like a loving couple like in his other movies or drames' female co-stars.
For example, Mei Nagano in Half Blue, Emi Takei in Rurouni Kenshin, Haruka Ayase (she wasn't his partner but...) in Stepmon and Daughter Blues, even Karina Nose who played his older sister in Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Doko Made mo looks visually more convincing and believable as a romantic couples.
I watched this for a sake of Satoh Takeru because I am a huge fan.
I probably rate this drama 5.5 for lacking the romantic chemistry between the leads. If without Satoh Takeru, I wouldn't know if this drame even exist.
Watched the raw ep 10 live last night, and I just wanna say I am content--- super filled with giddy-ness inside…
It's kind of annoying that Sakura keeps calling him Tendo-Sensei and her constent bowing action in every episode makes me feel so uncomfortable. Maybe, it is Japanese thing but I don't understand and very unpleasant to see in my opinion.
Although, Mone is cute in her own way and a great actress but that's all for me.
When she is with Satoh in the same frame, they don't look like a couple rather they look like teacher and student having a relationship which bothers me a lot. Maybe because their age gaps and her visual appearances...Satoh is perfect but Mone...I admit her acting is superb but she just doesn't fit visually with Satoh!!
Anyway, I would hoped Satoh to choose the right co-star next time.
