You're welcome! JJAK 짝 was a dating show in 2011 that ignited Korea's fever for blind-date reality shows! It's THE first! It's the reason all these other shows got made. I speak korean and I do not think that one was ever translated outside of Korea as it was pre hallyu wave. Unfortunately its run ended and it was taken off the air in 2014 following the suicide of a female cast member on set!
For a show very similar start with I Am Solo. It is really good and has had multiple 'seasons'. I think we are on season 21 now.
But yeah check them all out I liked them all. I have more recs when you are done. I also watch a lot of dating shows that never really get picked up and translated out of Korea so there are some good ones that dont have that overseas recognition!!

Yeah I was more referring to the older dating shows. The ones you mentioned are pretty new. JJAK for example was Korea's most famous dating show and it was also a few days at a time each group of people. If you look at I am Solo (which has the same writers as JJAK btw and they have formed SO MANY married couples) it is also like 5 nights.
These are just to name a few. The ones you mentioned they are there longer because they can keep working they just move in and live together and we observe moments.....those can afford to be long since the contestants do not have to stop their lives for weeks at a time!
I recommend I Am Solo, Divorced Singles all seasons, etc there are good shows out there! OHHHH also LOVE CATCHER is amazing we have AN AMAZING long run couple from it! At the end of the day if 2 people are meant to be it will be it does not matter how long they are there. I for one enjoy watching people fall in love and if it is meant to be it will happen in wtv time they have there.

I agree SO MUCH! As someone who watched this live while it was airing honestly I LOVE TRASH! To me out of all the Reply series this one's chemistry and love story is the strongest. I feel like unfortunately people wanted her to pick the 'hot' guy! That is my honest take after getting into discussions with multiple Chilbong fans. I am SO upset at the fucking Korean media outlets and hate commenters they YET AGAIN took another life with their reckless reporting and isolating someone so much that they could only see dying as a recourse!
