A unique "Yankii" romance concept that shows promise, despite a repetitive format.
I picked up Badly In Love looking for something casual to pass the time, and it turned out to be a decent watch. The premise is fascinating: 10 episodes featuring men and women who are former "Yankii" (delinquents) with troubled pasts, all gathered to find genuine love. The cast is the highlight; their growth and emotions felt authentic and real. However, the execution left a bit to be desired. The entire show is set in a school, and the "dates" became quite repetitive very quickly. Unlike other dating shows where couples travel or experience new things together to bond, being stuck in the school setting limited their ability to deepen their connections. It’s a great concept that needs better organization, but for a first season, it remains an entertaining, light binge.
