Why do the FL’s have to be so weak and pathetic at the beginning of these shows?
There are 24 episodes at approximately 10 minutes each of this terrible but watchable drama. The FL is given bullet comments of her life through some supernatural thing and can predict the future and while I absolutely hated her just sitting under the bed while her boyfriend cheated on her. I understand why they did it.. the ML is seeking the truth of his mother‘s death and he’s already suspecting his older brother. The older o son is a cretin and soon gets his comeuppance amongst all of the villains.. even though the FL had quite a character arc in terms of development it was really all a bit meh for me after her weak and pathetic efforts in the first half of this show so the emotional release was not there for me because I’d already checked out.Was this review helpful to you?

Meh. Just about watchable I suppose.
There are 24 episodes in approximately 10 minutes each and The FL was a woman who was looking to take revenge on the family for her twin sister’s death and the male lead was a brother in this family looking to uncover the mystery surrounding his families dealings with the Japanese during turbulent times.Long story short the elder brother was the mastermind who was colluding with the Japanese and dealing opium and he murdered everybody and everyone including family members and the story just made him crazy. After all his dodgy dealings have been uncovered, he ends up shooting himself in the head and our ML and FL literally ride off into the sunset together.
There was no satisfaction, no emotional release and actually the whole thing was a bit stupid. There were plot holes galore and many many loose threads that were never resolved. It really was quite terrible.

What happened to the evil sister?
It is watchable but it really is total nonsense and ridiculous. The male lead was a prince and the FL was a skilled doctor.. they are both being set up and be betrayed by their respective families and have to fight palace in intrigued as well as several other villains before we get our happy ending. There are 24 episodes at 10 minutes each and our heroes are constantly getting beaten tortured, humiliated and nearly murdered at every time. All the villains die with some having remorse by their end, but I still don’t know what happened to the evil sister who threw all the chaos was allowed to escape never to be seen or heard from again while our main couple got their happily ever after. Was this review helpful to you?

If you enjoy watching heroes suffer for 90% of the show, this is for you
Not good. The show is poor, but at least it was watchable. The FL is looking to infiltrate the new Dynasty to avenge her families massacre and the ML is a spy from the previous dynasty undercover. They go from enemies to lovers but are constantly on the back foot while the villains plan and scheme relentlessly to torture and murder innocents. What really bothers me with this type of show is the usual nonsense where villains like the adopted daughter who decide to redeem themselves are forgiven for all their crimes and face no accountability and have a happy ending and when the villains do get their comeuppance. It’s usually short and sharp and they die instantly where they’ve made the heroes suffer horrendous agony over a long period of time while they’ve been living in luxury and happiness . This kind of perverse pleasure in watching heroes suffer for 90% is quite disturbing and I don’t understand how Chinese audiences enjoy this kind of thing because there is no emotional satisfaction and the payoff is useless by the end.Was this review helpful to you?

Nice story
Admittedly, I have watched a lot of rubbish recently so this was a welcome light relief. There are 20 episodes of 10 minutes each and it is a low budget costume drama. There’s enough political intrigue to keep me mildly entertained and a love triangle that wasn’t too ridiculous.. wouldn’t watch it again most likely and we got a fairly happy ending with the ML and FL together and though the subordinate turns out to be the antagonist he was doing it for revenge for the massacre of his familyWas this review helpful to you?

Just rubbish
Just rubbish with a terrible ending. Watched the first few episode and was tired of seeing the ML chasing after the pathetic and arrogant FL. Do Chinese people find this kind of stuff and daring because you’re going to see a character development well I got so tired of watching this spoil irritation that I skipped to the end and that looks confusing and totally pointless because he is dead and she had descended into madnessWas this review helpful to you?

Low budget and low intrigue
12 episodes at approximately 20 minutes each and it was still boring. It wasn’t traumatic, horrific or disturbing but just a bit dull.. the story is about the male lead who is an immortal and got separated from the FL back in the day in tragic circumstances. He finds her again in this idyllic island and they rekindle their love and she slowly regained her memories from her past life throughout the show.. he has some curse put on him that doesn’t allow him to touch or kiss or have any intimate contact with the female lead but they decide to get married overcome a couple of difficulties and live happily ever after. The end.Was this review helpful to you?

Quite a nice military medical story
This show isn’t too bad, but I did have trouble scoring it after the disturbing dramas that I’ve recently watched so I was worried I’ve over scored this but I think my score is fair. I’m not gonna get into it too much because it was a few years ago but the FL was excruciatingly annoying and I understand why the story wrote her like that but I didn’t find her redemption or growth particularly compelling all that significant.. there’s 40 episodes of 45 minutes each and even in episode 38 she was still acting petulant and annoying. There are lots of problematic elements but it was worth watching just to pass the time.. easily forgettableWas this review helpful to you?

Another diabolical piece of crap
Just total garbage. The people that produce this content sick in the head because honestly when you advertise something as a romance but continue to brutally torture abuse and humiliate the heroes from beginning to end does that go into the realms of a deep seated demented state of mind? Who finds this kind of stuff entertaining? I’m really curious because there was a bit in the middle where the MLNFL had a bit of respite where they were being lovey-dovey but then five seconds later they decided to arrest him on some trumped up murder charge and we had to witness him being brutally tortured in prison for about three episodes. This show did not want to give us a break. It kept trying to give us like romantic moments but immediately was persistent in ensuring the villains were always having the upper hand until about 10 seconds from the end of episode 23.. I find it utterly disgusting and ridiculous that this content is allowed to be produced. I’m not believing any of the hype about censorship or watching a hero perseverance and resilience because they seem to lap it up when it’s time to torture the heroes, but we can’t ever see the villain taking too big of a loss.. it’s all rather disturbingWas this review helpful to you?

The most irrelevant male lead of all time who became a side character in his own story
I’m gonna keep this brief because this was a pile of absolute garbage. ML IS USELESS PATHETIC WEAK AND RIDICULOUS AND I CAN’T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO TALK ABOUT HIM SO I’M GONNA TALK ABOUT THOSE AROUND HIM . Gu family were top of the food chain until they got betrayed and everything that should’ve been there’s ended up becoming the Qin families. Fast forward and ML becomes bodyguard to the Qin family sister and evil brother is the head of the family. Seven years of humiliation, torture and beatings for our male lead because it’s all part of his great scheme to get revenge on those who slaughtered his family.. turns out the perpetrators of this horrific abuse are the FL who he has fallen in love with and the evil brother. Fast forward some more when it turns out the evil brother and love rival were responsible for the massacre the female lead cries a little bit and says sorry and all is forgiven and they live happily ever after.. WHAT THE ACTUAL……?Was this review helpful to you?

Hate this show and it’s left a bitter taste in my mouth
All I’m going to say is the female lead has sex with the second male lead and though there was a misunderstanding between her and the male lead because the second male lead deceived and lied and manipulated her into a long-term relationship. He remained pure while she still considered marrying the second male lead at the end and we barely saw any moments of chemistry or intimacy between the male and female lead. Totally useless. Was this review helpful to you?

A female lead with a bad attitude that leaves a trail of destruction in her path.. Yikes!
So the story started off setting the scene of how pathetic and weak the female lead was, she stalked her ex fiance and tried to kill herself when he rejected her. We then moved onto the arranged marriage bit with her rascal of a new fiance who was a bit of a scumbag but had a decent redemption arc and showed growth. I’m really not sure why people think this is so good because the female lead was horrendous, she had a bad attitude towards everybody, including her best friend who was always trying to help her. I get her father was overbearing but she literally couldn’t give a crap about anybody but her own feelings and the dodgy host who was the male lead. I get people like to see flawed characters but she was just too selfish and self absorbed and she didn’t give a crap about anybody else apart from our own feelings. I’m glad I fast forwarded through most of it because it was rubbish. Was this review helpful to you?

The Kei and Nona show and it’s great
I’m a big fan of this show. The concept is great and they cast a diverse mix of participants.. I will say I was immediately drawn to Kei and Nona the others were good. I was only really invested in their story. I don’t know if it’s a production thing, but I was endlessly frustrated with Nona giving absolutely nothing away it looked clear as daylight that she really liked Kei but she kept giving the other fellow hope I never gave Kei any encouragement. I mean. ABSOLUTELY ZERO ENCOURAGEMENT. However, by episode eight when he was kicked off, she went and proposed and confessed that she’d been in love with him the whole time so I do wonder if production was just stripping so much to keep the drama heightened because it was a frustrating watch for a lot of of it, even though I was enjoying it.I’ve had a look on their Insta and it is October 2025 and they’re married with a little baby daughter. *chefs kiss*

Beautiful and very moving
I love this show. It really is brilliant. The premise of not having any digital appliances including mobile phones for 10 days while bunch of beautiful Japanese people walk around the picturesque Nice, France while trying to find love is an engaging and heartwarming show..A couple of reasons why I didn’t get a 10.
1. It wasn’t long enough.
2. I know it’s a cultural thing, but it must be exhausting having to be overly polite when rejecting somebody’s feelings for you.

What a great idea, but it ended up a mess
I really like the idea of the show having a load of eternally singles trying to come out of the shells and begin dating. The best episode by far was episode four.. we saw jeong-mok and Yi Do reveal they were each other’s first impression and had just been missing each other. We also saw an unbelievably touching scene in the caravan between. Ji-Su and Seung-Li that took my breath away because he was so vulnerable and open about how shy he was and she looked like she fell in love with him and showed so much understanding. I actually thought Jae-yun was going to be the star of the show but he was excruciatingly shy and it was so frustrating watching him not develop grow. He was totally useless but what made it worse was the girl he liked (Kim Yeo-myung) had absolutely no interest in him whatsoever and I actually found her quite cruel and mean. I didn’t like her at all. They introduce this weird new love interest with two episodes to go which literally came from nowhere and by then I was fast forwarding and had lost interest. Ji-Su and Seung-Li ended up together but I doubt they continued anything after the show.
Must do better for season two.
