I literally want to cry 😭 This drama is seriously SO good... The acting, the characters, the costumes, the music, the scenery, the dialogues... EVERYTHING is on another level. I’m just overwhelmed with emotions 🥹
On one hand, I’m a little sad that it doesn’t follow the book’s story that closely, but when you look at the bigger picture, so many things actually make sense. I guess I can accept the changes 😭
And as always, I’m going to miss Ding Yuxi’s character so much... 💔 The only thing I really wish we had gotten more of was the emotional and romantic connection between the main leads. I needed MORE of them 😭 But okay, I’ll forgive the drama for that 😂

Poor my Zhao Ling… 😭 I genuinely don’t understand why he has to be the one to do everything. Why couldn’t the Emperor order someone else to kill Mo???? 😭 There are so many comments here that I completely agree with. Ding Yuxi is doing such an amazing job with this role… I literally wanted to cry with him. 🥺💔 I really hope the female lead will eventually stop being angry with him, because I feel like he’s already suffering so much…

Honestly, I feel sorry for Zhao Ling. He’s living such a difficult life... It feels like he dont live his own life since he met Fu Tingyun ( even though I like her as a character ). But with every episode, he seems to become sadder and sadder, it feels like everyone is always expecting something from him. In general this drama is very logical. And i like that they showed other side of solders life. The only thing I don’t like is that there isn’t enough communication between the main characters... But despite that, I really love their little glances at each other. The actors portray their characters so maturely.

I agree that Neo did a great job in this drama… the idea itself wasn’t bad, but honestly, there were a lot of things that didn’t really work for me. There’s a lot I can’t even explain properly, it just didn’t hook me personally. I’ve been watching it from the start only because of Ming Hao . But if you enjoyed the show, I’m genuinely happy for you.
I truly, deeply feel sorry for Min Hao… This drama had so much potential—stunning visuals, beautiful costumes, and amazing soundtracks. Everything was there, except the story. Sadly, the plot completely broke my heart, and not in a good way.
After all the incredible projects Neo has been part of, it was painful to see how little screen time he was given in this series. I know Xiao Yao is technically the main character, but Min Hao was supposed to be the main male lead. And yet, so often it felt like the supporting characters had more presence and more scenes than he did.
The final arc, where Hong Ye became human, was unbearably sad. The way he expressed his emotions when he found the lake was absolutely heartbreaking—Neo’s acting there was truly powerful. The ending itself was devastating.
Honestly, I feel like it would have been better if Neo hadn’t taken part in this drama at all and had just taken a break instead, because this project simply wasn’t worth all his hard work (●´^｀●)
