Your comments are spot on and I decided to reach out to you. Good review. Nicely done. Well written. Totally agree with you. Not long ago I accidentally fell into the C-drama rabbit hole and after watching Feud I became a big fan of Bai Lu. Thanks for taking your time to share your views.
It depends how romantic you are. In the drama the villain is obsessed with the FL for obscure reasons, anything but love. The ML is definitely in love. The FL, being the most sensible, realised that she should be romantic enough to make her partner feel valued and understood, but not so much that it feels forced. As for me, I don't understand romance, so I concentrate in the comedic side of the show.
- So, the eternal fragrance is a very good drama with lots of action and it has the most evil cunning deceitful villain and nobody has never seen his face. - And what's his name? - The Editor.
Let them talk: You cannot control what others say, think, or judge. Wasting energy on it just exhausts you. Let them show you: By allowing people to talk and act, they reveal their true nature to you. Reclaim your power: Say, "Let me focus on the one person whose opinion matters: me". Good ( and silly) drama & lots of fun - really enjoyable. The villain is priceless, making funny faces while pulling his eyebrows, trying to look super-evil and serious, but adding goofy quirks and big reactions, slapping his henchmen, being all cunning and sinister as he plots his evil schemes - just to always fail in the end. Very entertaining.
The actors breaking character ( post credits of EP 12 ) shows the lighthearted moments and outtakes, when everyone shares a laugh between serious takes, showing the true, joyful spirit of the crew. No wonder they opted for a comical ending featuring the beautiful Ryujin.
I'm so glad they got rid of the old editors who are so old and retrograde like so ancient and toxic and whatnot to make way to the new wonderful gaylennials editing style so spank the pank and wonderfully making the drama easy to catch up.
Bai Lu has become a superstar, beautiful and charismatic and can deliver performances beyond anyone's imagination making it hard and intimidating to fellows actors working with her in major roles . It's obvious that there isn't a ML as good as to pair with her - we've seen it in recent dramas - as she will outshine everyone around her. Let's hope that Hou Ming Hao will keep up the pace in TMK3, although I doubt it after his performance in Glory.
Lanya is honest about her feelings and has a twisted view of friendship and romance. She's bad at showing empathy and has a psychological motivation to perform poorly in every department. But she wouldn't exchange her love interest for anyone else, let alone a fox. A pet isn't a substitute for a healthy human relationship. Lifei isn't perfect, she's a swindler gold-digger and has many flaws. Forgiveness shows strength.
I like dramas where the main character's time are spent agonizing, angsting, and wasted in so many ways, feeling crappy and full of regrets, anxiety, apprehension and insecurity. Is this the case?
