I kept waiting for him to secretly rescue her but no....

She never betrayed him or threw him under the bus. So I don't think he will be aiming his sights on her, but rather ML. And I'm totally here for that.

Def too much baggage for there to be any type of future relationship. Imagine if they got married, what would they tell their kids? Eeeek!

That would be a huge and disappointing twist. :( Especially since our FL and her father had so much fondness towards him.

What happened to FL's father? He was framed, but where was he taken? Is he still alive?

There is always the possibility that he is duplicitous. That would be an interesting plot devolvement, although I wouldn't like it so much.

right now I am not favoring the main lead at all. I understand why he made the decisions he made, but he could have at least made a secret attempt to rescue her and relocate her but he didn’t. So as far as I’m concerned, I hope he does not end up with her at all. He totally threw her under the bus.

You are absolutely correct. His facial expression the smugness, pride arrogance etc. the actor is doing a really good job of conveying that. He’s just plain awful
