May I ask one more? I keep reading that Jing is endgame for our FL, yet you say he died. I thought he "almost died" because XL saves him.

I totally did not understand that scene, she would have died had Jing not saved her. What the heck was XL doing? Why was he just standing by watching it happen?

I have not read the novel, but I think it would be highly unrealistic for anybody to reconcile after three years of torture. The older brother is an evil psychopath.

2. How does XY find out that Jing was framed?
