The reason they show 2 types of cheaters in this drama is not to show you one has a reason and one doesn't have a reason and is just a trash human as you stated..
The reason they show 2 types of cheaters is to show you that both Yongi and seoyoung are garbage people. Yoon gi has no reason to cheat and his wife is adorable but he sleeps around, while seoyoung has "a reason" to cheat and she got attached to one person which is for me worse than sleeping around.
Both are trash with so much selfishness, no one asked her to be a super mom. So the father is crap and irresponsible, she can yell and slap him or divorce him, not go fall in love with someone else, what did that solve? Of course the drama is not that serious nor has any well developed issues or morals. But the actor are talented. If this was some low caliber actors taking the roles. No one would watch this, but it's PASTA man and his remarkable voice and the running lady and her charisma.
By the way, this guy acted in 3 or 4 dramas and movies where his love one cheats on him.
