Densha Otoko is a very different drama and I like it. The male lead isn't your usual guy. He's not even a second-lead type. Guys like him usually never get to be leads in any drama; they're only their to make us laugh at their misfortunes. So, I find it rather bold to give someone like Yamada the male lead spot. Honestly, I don't really 'love' his acting (I think he was directed to overact to make it comic) but somehow it doesn't bother me and the series doesn't feel like a manga.
The Chaser is also on my plan-to-watch list. It has the City Hunter ajusshi right? Is he playing another villain?
I think my next movie stop should be Secret :)

QIHM: Usually Korean drama's couple NEVER consider their libido as an active factor in any love relationship (honestly, some dramas convince the word hormones doesn't exist in Korea at all)So, that scene would make their love less pure (and more lusty) according to the norm in K-drama. So I guess that's why it was removed.
Heirs: Sigh. Big Sigh. BIGGER SIGH. #headache# Can we not talk about it? What's next on your list?

Enjoy rubbing salt onto my wounded fangirl heart!! I should have bailed out of that train-wreck sooner! No, I should have never taken it from the first place! Alas, that awfully slow but mildly cute ride was too shiny for me to resist. But I was amused; after all, it had all kind of atrocious fashion that you can't help but wonder how much is too much (and LMH's proved that he could go all the way through fashion fiasco after the other). Plus, who wouldn't love to be reminded every 10 minutes that "Loooove issss the momeeeent?"
I'm in a big trouble, Champ! The 'Heirs'might have managed to kill my love for Lee Min Ho :O I think I'm breaking up with my one and only Mr. Lee. Ottoke?
And you're watching Tatta Hitotsu No Koi. Do you like it?

Yeah, I've seen Shark's trailer and she looked sleep-walking or zombie-ing her way through the drama!
Let's hope she channels her inner mischief and brings out the *girlz power* so her poor Champion can rest assured.
I loved Pirates of the Caribbean and I can't wait for SYJ of the Caribbean :D

Actually a friend just drew my attention that although it says 1800 character/ post, they automatically turn into 899 once the first letter is typed. We're being scammed and I had no idea :P
QIHM: I liked it. I don't care what voodoo magic brought him back because he needed to come back :D Have you seen the original ending: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dp6JEbTAVko
But actually I didn't find the phone too stupid ahem..ahem:
a> when they first met, her phone and his talisman got switched *foreshadowing*
b> the translation of the Chinese characters on the talisman say something like:" He who wants life would get death, he who doesn't fear death gets life." For her, he risked his life numerously and then he sacrificed his lofty position and everything. He finally embraced death and she remembered him despite the spell being done. Tada: he's back :P As long as he's back I don't care!

You're very welcome ^_^ I've always thought that your lovely SYJ has a certain gentle air about her. She reminds me of classy princesses. I wouldn't imagine she would rock the pirate looks but she totally does.
Hmm.. you've edited your comment (you have to learn to do it swiftly, champion style) I'll take it that you're scared I'll go running around MDL calling you ajusshi :P :P *evil laugh*

Mr. Dimples has very cute dimples. I don't hate him but I don't love him either. He's a characteristic Korea male lead, he throw tantrums and he wrist-grabs, he's lonely and misunderstood..
I got angry with him when he dragged Dr. Yoon through the market then bought and threw the jacket on her and left her there after he yelling at her. Then, I realized that every Korean male lead does that in a way or another and at least he's a gangster. So, I shouldn't be surprised at his lack of etiquette. Though, I love him when he pulls his lady close and whisper sweet nothing with that rich voice of his. It's hard to resist him when he's like that :P
I love Dr. Yoon :D It's a shame that her type has become so rare in Korean dramas of today.
~Sorry for writing two posts. It's embarrassing how much I blab.~

Actually, I was able to understand Manato with all his depressing thoughts, confusion between reality and imagination, his scary obsession and his selfishness. I could even understand the cruel choices he made but I couldn't sympathize with him. He was too dark but he kept me coming for more. The cynicisit in me wanted to see how low he would stoop and the romantic in me had that glimpse of hope that he'd confess and become a better person.
Yui, on the other hand, just confused me all the way through. Can you imagine my surprise when she took her new-step brother to listen to their parents 'doing it' so they can share their happiness *__* I mean the girl is crazy. I get her logic, only I don't. She's simply out-of-this-world. Everything that came out of her mouth was a surprise to me.
Anyways, I don't regret watching SOS. It was a unique experience. Thanks for the recommendation :)

And you've finished QIHM :D Congratulations. What did you think of the finale?
And you've started White Christmas (since it's Christmas I suppose). This drama is on my Plan-To-Watch list. I'd appreciate your feedback :)
I forgot to say SOS's female lead isn't completely pure. At least she doesn't run away from physical intimacy! I don't want you to hate her just because I do. She could be the best girl ever. Still hate her :P

I wouldn't strongly recommend Lovesick. It's far a from being original . Basically, a girl too-scared of love turns into a men-hater. She meets Mr. Perfect who melts her heart but NO! He can't be good. She has to torture him so he reveals his true colors!Enter slapstick comedy and the classic airport running scene. As I said, you won't miss a thing.
SOS: She's not too good to be true. She's just so honest, artless and unaffected. Her crush tells her he has another girl but she wouldn't budge because she can win him with her undying passion and she goes and threatens other-girl and tells him about it! Of course, he knows what she does is scary but he finds her too damn cute so he doesn't mind her stalking
CC's gangsters took lives with knives but Lover's gangsters play with orphan kids, sing for their boss and decorate Christmas trees. They're adorable but they're not the real thing.

I've seen it :O How did this happen to the awesome Da Ren we know. Chen Bolin knows how to make fun of himself like it's nobody's business! Have you watch Lovesick?
SOS: thought-provoking and profound drama, done with utmost care to little details. It has very annoying main leads (that's why it got a 7). A very pure, cute, childish, crazy female lead that never grew through the course of the drama and an extremely depressed male lead who can't for the life of him make a choice! The secondary leads were AWESOME, a sensible and loving girl and a charming and supportive guy. I've watched the drama for them <3
Lovers is nice but I'm skipping all the gangsters, business, secondary characters...basically the non-OTP scenes. The romance developed slowly but deliciously and the OTP has some good chemistry. Now, I'm skipping more scenes because it's staring and crying part.Female lead's great.

And if you think about it, Yui was denied of any sort of character growth. She basically remains the same. Meaning: the show takes her perfect #_# I couldn't sympathize with her at all and I really tried to.
Manato was the most depressing guy in the world. He walked with a cloud above his head and wallowing in despair seemed to be his favorite hobby. Luckily for me and him, he grew up and he changed slowly and steadily. I would have forgiven him if he confessed a bit earlier but Yui had to FAKE HER DEATH for him to spill the beans! I was at the end of my patience and it was too late.
The secondary leads were AWESOME. Love them. I think the second female lead got the biggest character development and she's my favorite character. Yosuke wowed me with his performance as usual and his character was sensible, charming and sexy. I was shipping them from ep1. I wish they hooked up earlier.

I'm done with Strawberry on The Shortcake. I gave it a 7 (that's why I was scared to give my final report ^_^; )
So, I think it's a very well made drama. I love the direction, the rich symbolism, and the consideration of the minute details in every scene. It was a thought-provoking and different drama. I appreciated the characterization and the pathos each character was given. My biggest problem with SOS and the reason behind the 7 was the main leads.
Yui annoyed me a lot. I geddit! She's a free spirit. She's the incarnation of raw passion and naked emotions. She's artless, pure, and unaffected but she's also extremely childish, whiny, and she can become a scary stalker who can't have 'no' for an answer, but of course she gets off the hook because she's so damn cute. I hated that the show treated her as if she were a magical fairy or a transient angel- to be continued.
