I have absolutely loved her in Let's Eat! I hope everyone gets over their prejudices so she gets to do more roles. It's funny considering how many female leads are supposed to be 'ugly' or very 'plain', still even then they're played by very pretty actresses!
You got me at Lee Ji Hoon and 'mini series'. Lee amazed me with his performance in MotW and I'm always up for a refreshing mini-series. Thanks for the suggestion :)
That's a cool article with high aesthetics you got there!
I detest the twirl hug. (The wise Shampoo below spoke my mind)! I'm not a big fan of the wrist-grab either. I might've liked only 2 or 3 wrist grabs from the hundreds I've seen throughout my dramaland journey :P
I love the 'The Stare Down Smoulder' (thank you for squeezing Kang Ha Neul into this article), the back-hug, and most kisses (especially if they involve Gong Yoo).
I also LOVE this move that wasn't mentioned in your article ^_^
Episode 7 + 8 were unreal, and took some detour into romance land, where Yeon Joo forgets all about being a doctor…
I hated the romance's guts too :P For once, it lacked the emotional build up and it made Yeon Joo seems like a person who has a cotton candy instead of a brains in her head. Let's say chief surgeon spoke my mind when he danced in the hallways saying the writer is BACK after he got rid of stupid Yeon Joo. I felt a tinge of emotion for her crying, but she wore the same dumbfounded face in the entire episode... I can't sympathize much with that face.
I think that writer is trying to send a message for all drama writers out there through this show: Don't create your characters on a whim. Don't follow canned cliches. Your characters will come out and hunt you if their story doesn't make sense!
That was a very interesting read. Thank you for taking the time to write this.
2016 was definitely diverse, but I couldn't finish most of these dramas :P Here's to hoping that 2017 will be better!
Writer-nim will be blacklisted for good if he doesn't provide me his birth name. He won't. I'm blacklisting him anyway :P
But, I'd say I've seen better actors doing more with such poorly written-characters. I stand my grounds.
Some scenes could've been better, lousy-characterization not-withstanding.

I know it's probably too weird to be considered a move. I don't even know what to call it or what to make of it, but it gets me every time they do it.
These days I whine when I find out a drama has 20 episodes instead of 16.
KHN will be the end of me...
People there is something called EPISODE REVIEWS. Use it!
