Dear Lumi, you express yourself so well and with such a delicious candour, that I have nothing to add. :DI can,…
I think I just sacrificed some trying to figure out if I like Kerem & Zee more than Makino & Domyouji...

Figuring this out is more difficult than differential equations! Or how did they style the male lead's hair in all the Hana Yori Dango incarnations...

*LOL*

I guess I'll need it when reality knocks at my door demanding I work on a ridiculously boring translation/paperwork with a deadline hovering over my head. Sounds like a perfect remedy!

P.S: Shall I remind you that with the help of a certain satanic friend, you watched HYD's illegitimate long-lost Turkish brother :D

We're just weak to dramas that feed on our brain-cells :D :D :D

It's finally here!

I loved Hana Yori Dango. Granted, I have watched the disastrous Boys Over Flowers first. But truth be told, with all its atrocities, I can't with a clear conscience say I hated it.

It was my very first real addiction of a drama. Ever since then I've come to terms with the fact that the HYD is every drama trope on crack and no matter how high we raise our eyebrows and judge it, we'll still watch the damned thing till the end and secretly enjoy it.

The important question is how crazy is the new incarnation and shall I put myself through it when the right mood arrives?

Ha!Not as bas as me wishing to see more odious dramas so that I can write my reasons... :P;)
By the way, your new profile is lovely :)

LOL

Is it bad that I wish you add more dramas to this list just to enjoy reading your reasons? :P

I have too many things to thank you for!

First, bringing up the topic! I'm guilty of more than one stage.

Second, bringing up the cure. Thanks, I've always known I'm on my own! :P

Third, I don't even remember the last article that I have read from beginning to end on MDL! Good job! I had a blast :)

Help me..i can't get my mind around it..In Woo sak and Ho Rang relationship, who is the victim..IK both are responsible..but…
I think you're right. It's unfair that Rang is held accountable for the fallout alone. What you said about dreams is totally true too.

The way I see it, I think it's their fault, both of them!

She hasn't been honest about her dreams and wishes and he just thought she was happy supporting him until the end of time to realize his dreams. But at the same time, how could you live with the same human being for 4 years and not have an inkling of what she wants? The dude is so thick and he completely lacks common sense. He's a South Korean too, shouldn't he know that society has this burden on a woman to get married and start producing children? Also, I don't think Rang is petty or anything. What's wrong with wanting to be married and raising your own children? She didn't just want to get married to anyone. She wanted to get married to the man she loves. I don't understand why WS invested so much time and effort in that app thing when it was obvious it's a dead-end project. People should work for their dreams, but he should've realized that there's something wrong. He should've gotten another idea. And that woman has supported you for years, and you're living in the house whose deposit she paid. How is he not petty? I just got angry :P

I hope Ho Rang finds happiness. She was so hurt.

Review Kleun Cheewit
I love your review! To be fair, after two lakorns watched out of morbid curiosity, I swore them off completely. But fate threw clips of this lakorn on my YT feeds, and the beauty of Yaya made me watch. Bless whoever uploaded their cuts on YT, it saved me the melodrama fest.

'Beauty' or 'attractiveness' is a matter of personal taste. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Nevertheless, I have enjoyed your list of beauties and thanks for portraying your readers' votes on the subject!

I'm loving Fight for My Way. First of all, friends to lovers is a favorite trope and FfMW plays it well. The drama is also equally fluffy and realistic which makes it relatable and still endearing. The second couple especially has a soft spot in my heart already. Then, there's also the fact that all 4 'knuckleheads' leads are just middle-class young people struggling to make it in the world and putting up with jobs they don't like! It's so refreshing to watch dramas with normal people- no chaebols and all that stuff!

It's been a while since I've read an article on MDL till the very end! I have to agree on most your points.

I ended up dropping it halfway because it was rather eventless despite the fact that it had some interesting characters (Yoo Jin, her secretary, her husband, and her brother). I also couldn't take the amount of cheese between Jae Ha and Anna. I didn't like the transformation of Jae Ha from Lone Wolf to Chirpy Puppy around her.

There were fans (I being one of them) who wished Anna was still the ten years old girl, and the main love line would be the murky relationship between Jae Ha and Yoo Jin. Jae Ha's character definitely needed more attention from the writer. He was only interesting when facing Yoo Jin; otherwise, his character was plain boring. I also never bought his tragic girlfriend story or his revenge plan.

Review Cruel City
What a fine review to a fine show!

"Midnight summer dream in the heart of winter; fragile, but not frail, yet raw and omnivore."

You really know how to bring out the delicacy that Heartless City was. I have watched this drama years ago, but my heart still tingles when I think of it. I agree with most things you wrote, especially those about Jin Sook. That was one of the most complex and beautiful male-female relationships portrayed in a kdrama.

Let's pray that JKH chooses his next project wisely. He can do magic when he has the chance to.

I want to thank you for writing this review. If it wasn't for it, I would've missed this gem of a drama. Also, because of this show, I have a new appreciation for Choi Kang Hee, and like you, I think I fell in love with her.
