I love complex characters, tightly constructed plots and good acting, and I have a particular weakness for epic historical dramas.  And pretty.  Pretty is nice too.

All ratings are a combination of my objective assessment of the show's quality and how much I personally enjoyed it. In general, I'd recommend any show rated 8 or higher, and most of the 7's are solid as well.
