Interesting article, I think that Hyun Bin has practically made Secret Garden happen. I just can't see the drama…
Yes, JGS was right because Ji Hoo's role as written in the Korean version is way more likable than Jon Pyo's. Played by a good actor, it would've thrown poor LMH in a pit :P The thing is, I can't imagine JGS with KHS. In fact, I can't think of any actor who would have chemistry with her :P *sorry for going mean on poor KHS*

Forget Jun Pyo, who was there first choice for Jandi? That can't be there first ...................... Great article!
Actually many young actresses auditioned for Jandi's role including Park Shin Hye (I think she would've made a better Jan Di; at least she's way younger than Ko Hye Sun). Go Hara was also rumored to play the role (I think this never happened because she's too pretty to be Jandi). Sadly, KHS was the director's choice. Apparently, he was impressed with her. Whatever, I never liked that director anyways.

Interesting article, I think that Hyun Bin has practically made Secret Garden happen. I just can't see the drama going big without him. The same goes for Lee Seung Gi's K2H. But I always wonder what would've happened if JGS played the second male lead. JGS is a talented actor (something I can't say about Kim Hyun Joong).Do you think LMH could have enjoyed the same stardom if JGS was playing Ji Ho by his side?

I still have one point: Although she builds epic love stories, I feel like the lovers don't build their relationships on genuine understanding and appreciation of each other. Jo Woon and Kim Do Jin (AGD) kept insulting their love-interest while pursuing her. Both give you the stalker vibe and both force themselves over their girls (Ra Im had to fight Jo Woon as he squeezed her in bed with him. Of course, it's very hot but it's equally disturbing). On the other hand, director and writer from On Air seemed to complete each other. I really liked how he left her red marks on her script although I would've killed him if I were the writer :P
And she must have at least one insanely rich character in her dramas (Jo Woon- Oska- Actress- all the four gentlemen).
So, I hope this helped and I'm sorry because I've practically invaded your wall with my comments :) Good luck with your task!

What I liked:
1- Her style is very witty and funny. SG is one of the funniest dramas I've scene (will never forget Hyun Bin in a bra).
2- The dialogue is catchy in case of SG it's amazing but sometimes I feel it becomes pretentious.
3- She always writes a primary couple and secondary couples. She always finds a way to find every character a love interest which is better than being heart-broken for the 2nd lead who never gets the girl.
4- She writes the best romantic (and HOT) situations. Check SG and AGD.

What I hate about her dramas:
1-The immature characters are definitely my biggest problem with her scripts. All of her characters are perfect adults who insist on acting like they're still in middle school. Examples:
On Air: writer Soo (as much as I loved her) but she was very annoying, always shouting and bossing everyone.
AGD: This's the one I hate the most. Seo Yi Soo is a high school teacher, yet she seems clueless about everything. Whenever, she's faced with a problem she just go around dancing her stupid "Ottokaji" dance. She ends up embarrassing herself all the time because she doesn't think before she speaks (the male lead insults her all the time).
2- Extremely haughty characters. She tends to write about extremely self-centered and egoistic characters. Examples: the writer and actress from On Air. Jo Woon, Oska, their mothers, and Lee Seul from SG. All the four males from AGD

2- Usually there are few scenes that remain in or mind long after we finish a drama. Have some of these scenes remained in your memory?
YES. If anything, I could name writer Kim Eun Sook as the queen of memorable scenes and catchy phrases. I'll point out the scenes from every drama I've watched.
On Air: I remember when the director used to find the writer asleep and he used to tuck her and put the cute beanie/pillow under her head. I also remember their library kiss.
Secret Garden: Wow, everything: Jo Woon's dialogues and his way of speaking especially the tongue twister he used to recite. The setups, the bed-hug, the Cappuccino foam kiss, the bra scene.. the whole drama :P
AGD: Won't that spoil the drama for you? I'll try to be cryptic. The red dress incident. The bathroom incident. The sofa incident. When they painted the wall together. *sorry for spoiling the whole drama*

1-Do You think On Air was realistic about making a drama?
On air showed how hard the process of making a drama is from casting, financing, changing the script to fit the current situations and most importantly getting the drama "On Air" with all the crazy schedule and the little time to film and edit. The drama also sheds light on how much the pressure of getting high ratings could affect the whole narrative of the drama. I think that all of these are very realistic issues which influence the drama-making process; however, that portrayal of the relationships between producers, agencies, actors and so on(which ought to be very professional) were arguably unrealistic. What's with the random slapping and splashing water on other people's faces?
