only gave it a 10 for the chemistry. I rlly hate the poor girl rich guy plot but I can endureit coz the girl wasn't originally poor. And that amnesia plot was a drag. In my heart this is a 7 but i give it a 10 coz their chemistry got me going as well as the kid. Although the acting kinda sucks but its alright for 2009 drama and it rlly got me crying.

Back then I was probably 14 when it came out and i didnt realise how cringe the acting was and i watched it for the plot since it was a remake pus it was very famous while I was in school. Everyone was talking abt it. Only now do I realise both the plot and acting was cringe. Its why I couldn't finish the thai version. The plot is so oudated so they should stop making remakes. It was good back in the day but not anymore. Another example is Autumns concerto. It was good for a 2009 drama but its not remake worthy.

cough cough* Meteor garden. Had to suffer from second hand embarrassment watching that. Idk how I managed to finish it or give it a high rating. I even proceeded to watch every version there was of it. 🙂 When I tried rewatching the chinese version I cringed so bad. Ended up dropping the thai version even tho it was less cringe but more violent.

Those 20 eps worth ml extra screentime was added as per kris wus orders. They cut fl scenes for him so they would probably keep the 60 eps and reshoot with fl scenes instead but unlikely as there is a problem abt how a drama can only be 40 eps so then it would have to be split into seasons and wait a year to air the next part. Idk abt the all 4 books thing but mos likely they would cut less important scenes and remove fillers coz there is a lot. The costume problem probably has to be edited with AI which is quite easy to do.

The poor to rich plot is quite interesting ig I got tired of those poor girl rich guy plots. They always make the fl depend on the ml.

Ik I cant afford to be picky with the ml but why lin gengxin out of everyone? They arent even using AI so why does it matter that the new ml has to match kris wus face. There are so many other talented but less popular and younger actors who would be willing to film in this. They can also save a lot of money this way. Plus it had to be kris wus friend lin genxin who I heard is known to be a playboy. what are the odds he'd get into a scandel too and delay the drama airing again? Just like how no one expected the innocent li yifeng to get into a scandel. Why take the risk? just my personal opinion.
