Yeah guan chao marries someone else but everyone thinks he likes lan yifei in the novel and mingyu also dates someone else which was one of my fav character bu it seems they are pairing her up with zhuang yuan in the drama. Mingyu used to like zhuang yuan in the novel but she moved on and zhuang yuan liked huang ying zi which was only revealed when they reunite but it seems they changed all the cps except the main cp. Even guan chao is being paired with lan yi fei judging from the trailer but I might be wrong as in the novel it was kinda hard to tell who likes who until the end which is why you always see the question, who did u like at 17? After every 2-3 chapters, and hence the title of the novel. And I also wonder if they kept huang ying zis boyfriend from the novel. I think they might do the same as the novel in the drama by making the viewers think this character likes this character and then end up proving them wrong. Kinda like how reply 1988 ended.
