Ahah I just read the chapter when Zhuang yuan confesses to her after she got together with jiang yi. Why are these second leads so late? Ying zi likes zhuang yuan (the most handsome guy in school apparently who is also her childhood friend 😅) since she was like 15 but her best friend fang ming yu also likes him so she keeps it a secret but one day she told her friend that she likes him but then ming yu just laughs and they both like him together since they think that zhuang yuan likes yi fei (their other friend who is considered the school beauty) and they don't have a chance with him. Over this period fang ming yu also gets over her feelings for him and starts liking some other guy but ying zi still does. But then another guy pops up and starts courting her but she rejects him saying she likes zhuang yuan but he doesn't give up lol until he really does get her and thats when Jiang yi left her to go to america when they turned 17. I guess she also stopped having a crush on zhuan yuan at this point. Jiang yi also likes ying zi but he doesn't show it, instead he's just cold to her and starts getting angry and shouts at her all the time (big red flag) 😂 but when he realizes ying zi is getting courted by some guy he starts acting more cold.
