Yh that's what I thought at first but I've read both novel and it's not the same role at all. Fp isn't going to be following the novel anyways so idk how that will turn out. But if u ask me, this one is 10x better than the FP novel.

plus this is mid Ming dynasty while fp is Tang dynasy.
