If you watched the first 8 episodes then you would see at some points her feelings for Sang Yan were very obvious. She expressed a hint of jealousy when he mentioned he was going to bring someone home for dinner too and she wondered if he had a girlfriend.
Based on the novel i'd say we're...halfway there. It's hard to say cause we don't know everything they included but of what we do know when filming was ongoing theres still quite a few scenes we gotta get through before they're official.

The only possible explanation I can give you guys is that its Youku problem. The episode was giving an unavailable error for a lot of users tonight so that could be delaying the release onto other platforms.

Okay big spoiler warning i'm giving you the a brief rundown of the events in novel from this point on that I remember.
Wen Yifan is gonna start sleepwalking in front of Sang Yan and he will confront her about it. They will start having more intimate moments together (intentional and unintentional) and flirting which only brings them closer and closer, Wen Yifan will start deciding she wants to pursue Sang Yan cause she will realize she really wants to be in a relationship with him. They will finally get together after some pursuing and then the "Uncle" (Che Xingde) will come back which is the person who assaulted her previously and he'll start harassing her at work and in one instance he hurts her and she hides it from Sang Yan, this upsets Sang Yan because he thought Wen Yifan could tell him anything. They reunite on one of her work trips after taking some space and she tells him the truth about everything in the hotel room and apologizes for how she treated Sang Yan in High School. They will also sleep together in the hotel room and Wen Yifan proclaims that she doesn't like the touch of any other man but him. Sang Yan will beat the hell out of Che Xingde and get injured in the process. They will move into a new place, she will discover his box full of plane tickets, newspaper clippings and things about her. Wen Yifan will finally get to perform and dance again and Sang Yan will make it just in time to see her performance. Che Xingde will be sentenced to death. Wen Yifan and Sang Yan go to their school anniversary and Sang Yan proposes to her in the classroom where they sat together as teenagers.
Her kiss scenes were not that bad in born to be the one. we also got a BTS clip of their kiss in this drama aswell…
Yeah it’s pretty common in dramas, i think its not only a directing choice but also a editing choice and the comfortability between the actors. Theres some dramas that had better kisses in their BTS clips than what was chosen for the final edit. For their first kiss I expect it to be a bit awkward like that but the second one he initiates to be better and deeper cause he teases her about her kissing technique so i’m hoping its amazing lol.
