Because its the government thats homophobic not people. Not saying that theres no homophobic people in china tho…
I'm not saying it's all because of people from west. They were one of the reasons for it but not the only one. It's the same like in Europe - for example Greeks, Rome and Pagan Celtics were open for same-sex relationships. That was until emperors converted to Christianity and that's when homosexuality started to be considered a sin. Once again, I'm not saying it's all their fault but they took a big part in it. Edit: I want to clarify. I only said homosexuality was considered a sin but I forgot to mention that it's sexual acts that aren't procreation were considered a sin. But it affected same-sex relationships the most.

Actually homosexuality was mostly accepted in ancient china despite the important family values. Westernization was the main factor (but not the only one) in the growth of homophobia in China. But yeah f**k them.

You dont have to watch it if you dont like it. Also people are homohobic because they were taught. By who? The government. People were and still are easily influenced by everything that surrounds them. But despite the government trying to "erase" queer existence people are still trying to show that something like that exists. Obviously they cant just straight up scream about it so they need to do it more subtle. Sometimes its just better than nothing because trying piece by piece could slowly make a change for better. And ngl but some of those bromances are better at portraying romance than some BLs. Dont know what bromances have you watched but from what ive seen most of them have dialogues where you can clearly see that theyre in love and you dont have to try to find that meaning. They just dont say explicitly words "i love you".
Why do people watch anything out of homophobic China?
Because its the government thats homophobic not people. Not saying that theres no homophobic people in china tho cuz you can find them literally everywhere
According to this Twitter user the release date was postponed because of some technical issues and we'll get the new airing date soon. https://x.com/i/status/1845857011734282636
The episodes are so short that we don't have time to think about the series. I think I'll wait until it's finished…
episodes are available for free only for a limited time so when the series will be finished a few of the early episodes may not be available anymore :c
I don't usually get hooked to drama series easily. I am glad that I found this hidden gem, as unlike some more…

I'm not really sure but I guess it's because it's summer time and they are not able to check all of the requests - I submited an edit for a drama some time ago and still wasn't checked so idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also Choi Dong Ho's smile was sooooo cute <33
Maybe if it was longer there wouldn't be so many holes. It's enjoyable if you take it lightly.
