She did but when she went to see XH in episode 33 or 34 I think they slept together again and that’s where the baby came about. They cut the scene so we didn’t see anything at all just her seeing him and then waking up to see him gone.

I expected a sad ending but not like this. After 35 episodes of ups and down and XH not even having a happy moment they decided on the most cruel way possible to make Cangcang be the one that sets the nail in by giving her knife and XH pushing her into stabbing him after saving everyone by consuming the poison. And Cangcang dying as well as her best friend leaving just behind her son and Xiao Qian Qing. They should have renamed it poison, sacrifice, misunderstanding and crown.

GT finally changed his ways after his last stunt. If you remember in the first couple of episodes Cangcang found a drawing of a woman in her dead teachers things & she said she looks familiar. The woman in drawing looks like the Ling sect master. Apparently she faked her death just like how Imperial chick did with the queen mother but when she woke up after taking the antidote she lost her memory of who she was & assumed that new identity.
