I just started watching and did not read the whole review so as to not spoil too much, I already knew the gist. I just had to reply about FL in Ashes of Love....I couldn't staff her and agree entirely with you.

I'm hesistant to watch it because although I am a huge dan of YY, I haven't been able to stand Dilraba is any…
I am the same, I will say the story is more around Yu Tu (yang Yang)and the aerospace industry which was fine with me. I'm still not a fan but she was less annoying if that helps.

this might be the best part of any review of the show.... The 2nd ML. That's it. That's all I'm really going to say. I just found him lovely. Loved that and agree entirely.

Review Eternal Love
Couldn't agree more with your comment on Bai Feng Jiu and Emperor Dong Hua. I disliked their story so much that…
It is really odd cause I love the show and would say it's one of my favorites. When I tell people to watch I warn them about that one story line. You have to watch it through once, but when re-watching fast forward through them!

Great article - I wish this had been around when I started watching.

I have an ever growing list of c-dramas that I want to watch. I believe right now there are 64, which I constantly add to, and I have watched 16. I switch between c-dramas, korean movies and japanese anime!

First show I watched on a fluke was Rise of Phoenixes in 2018 which got me hooked. I had morphed over from watching Shaw Brothers movies from the 1970s and all the Takeshi Kaneshiro movies,. I was hooked from there and started making my list, The second show I watched was Eternal Love, It's been a struggle to find shows better than these 2 and I started with lower rated shows and saving higher rated shows for later - cause I started to worry about watching all the exceptional shows too early.

Of the shows that I have watched recently, Love O2O surprised me and I enjoyed it more than I was expecting, since I tend to watch more historical. Of the most reasons ones I have seen, I really loved Bloody Romance. It is probably my #3 show right now (with like 40 more to watch!)

The one that I seem to not like but everyone loves is Ashes of Love. For some reason I found all the characters annoying and the acting off. Maybe cause I watched it immediately after Eternal Love, and I will admit that there are parts of Eternal Love that I skip when I rewatch. I could barely get through Ashes of Love and every time I see it on a list I scratch my head and wonder why,

That has been my c-drama path. I am always open to suggestions and adding to my list of c-dramas.
