I feel the same. They could have done like Master Lee. He was a soul shift too but he was different. He didnt use the ice stone and didn’t displace a soul. The boy he went into was already dead so his soul was already gone. I believe this is why he didn’t run wild. They could have gotten a freshly dead body who soul was gone for Naksu and given Bu-yeon back her body. The lead couple could still be together while Bu-yeon became the head of her family with her powerful soul.

The original is not a typical Korean drama. It had a so-so ending to me. To me she picked the wrong guy. The male lead is like a lead found in a Thai lakorn.
