To those saying there's no chemistry between the leads, there are no sweet moments yet so there's no time to build up romance yet. Although a bit romance on ep 14.
Dylan Wang looks like Ao Ruipeng who is male lead of Tian Xiwei in Wrong Carriage, Right Groom and they have fantastic chemistry. So I won't give up just yet on Dylan-Xiwei tandem early on. I will see until ep 20.
I am slowly reading the novel as I watch per episode. All I can say is they did well in the drama. They made it comedy while novel is a bit serious and dragging.
Dylan is funny and I am enjoying this series so far. Waiting for ep 15 since I wait for the subbed version.
How we doing with this one. Thought to give it time to cook before diving in.
So far so good at episode 14. I am watching it every time it comes out. I am also reading the novel. I prefer the drama vs the novel. The drama is comedy. The novel is quite serious and a bit boring.
I finished until ep 12 and I must say, it's awesome and worth my time. Can't wait for the next episodes. Dylan Wang really delivered. He is hilarious. I love his fantasy family dynamics. And the flow of the story is not boring at all.
Feel good drama. Cute couples with great chemistry. I fell in love with Ao Ruipeng here and Tian Xiwei. Ao Ruipeng does not need thick makeup like other actors. This guy is really handsome. :) Tian Xiwei's dimple is too cute.
Watched this because I am a YY fan. But surprisingly, I did not like this cdrama at all.
The only thing I liked is the medical and rescue elements in the story. Also the supporting characters. Other than that, I struggled to start episode 2 and decided to watch another drama instead which I found really good and already halfway in the series.
Hei-Bai Fengxi (Lusi and YY) is my favorite cdrama couple. I would want them to be paired up again considering that they never did couple promotions on this series and no guestings as well. However, it would be unlikely due to toxic fans. Such a missed opportunity.
I watched this series multiple times than I can count. No misunderstandings, just a couple supporting each other and being kick-ass!
I do not like that they did not follow the novel ending. Ending is better. His lifespan was reversed and he went back to normal, they had a son named Feng Rong, the kid fl loves did not die, they became rulers of martial world but went back to the political world when Huang Chao died early due to the wounds he acquired in the war. Note that this is in the novel and not series so it is not spoiler per se.
My top favorites (wuxia/xinxia) that you might want to try: 1. Who Rules the World 2. Back from the Brink 3. A Romance of Tiger and Rose 4. Love Game on Eastern Fantasy

Not going to pick up again.
