I am a big fan of Joy of Life. But they should not be compared because JoL is 10% romance, 90% political intrigue. PoJ on the other hand is 90% romance, 10% political intrigue. JoL is one of my absolute favorite male-centric drama, and PoJ is my absolute favorite historical romance.
I really can't get over the fact that ml is destined to die ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
In the novel, they found a way to get his lifespan back. They also had a son. They became the rulers of both the Jianghu (martial arts world) and the empire.
I can't remember the ending much but as i remember the ML has only ten tears to live or something i consider it…
In the drama, he lost some of his lifespan. In the novel, they found a way to get it back and they also had a son. They ruled both the empire and Jianghu together.
Too many plot armours for the fl but I'm not complaining in fact I'm here for it!!The ml's story got compromised…
I felt the same with Love Like the Galaxy. Toxic ml I almost dropped the drama but fast forward and only enjoyed the last episode. So I understand people who like, or do not like a drama. Once I drop a drama, I try to forget asap. lol.
But POJ works for me. I love it. Obsessed with it. 🥰
lol im confused. this drama is trying so hard to promote this as a strong FL drama but then makes her journey…
Due to limited time for 40 episodes, it cannot be portrayed perfectly. But the novel tells the whole story. It also depends on preference. It may or may not work for anyone. There are highly praised dramas that I question and do not like too. To each their own
I just became too impatient and started watching it today thinking 33 episodes are out so It'll probably take…
I started watching when it was only 10 episodes. I usually watch when it is complete. The only times I watched daily were Guardians of the Dafeng and Who Rules the World. PoJ keeps you hooked too much. Lol
guysssss.... HELP!!...does it have a sad ending? in the novel?🥲🥲🥲
okay so this will be major spoilers.
They got married and their wedding was the biggest and grandest wedding in the land rivaling royalty. Changyu's procession was very long.
Baoer became the young emperor. Xie Zheng became the Regent King. Changyu became the Lady Protector General of the Country (I hope I got that right).
Changyu went to fight on the borders while XZ stayed to oversee the court. When the court stabilized, he resigned as Regent King and went to his wife to fight together in the borders.
They then gave birth to twins, a son and a daughter.
There's also an alternate universe version. CY and XZ are childhood sweethearts. That story is also good.
I disagree a bit. The simple country bumpkin way they occasionally write her is annoying and unnecessary.
She is a butcher. She IS a country bumpkin. She is not raised as a noble. And they followed the story (novel) which is written as such, no changes regarding her character.
In the alternate universe that the author wrote, she is a noble studying in the academy but she usually copies the assigment of Li Huaian which annoyed Xie Zheng to the core and married her early. Lol
