She acted well with passion on whatever role assigned to her, even to the point of being called so ugly, or retarded, or clumsy, etc .. etc.
I remember my American mentor who likes Song Yiren; she wrote to me: "Those fans who just won't stop are like that- they condemn Song as "too ugly, blah, blah," have deep-seated issues. It reminds me that the word, "fan," is shortened from "fanatic, from the Latin word, fanum, which means mad person". "And the more Song is attacked, the more I liked to watch her dramas!".
If only those Chinese producers, directors will take a second look on Song Yiren and give her a big film project. We were really disappointed on iQiyi Scream Night 2023 last December; Yiren has 2 upcoming dramas with iQiyi, namely "My Special Girl' which we are watching now and "Her Fantastic Adventures"; however, she was not even invited. This is really unfair for her and for those who worked with iQiyi before. They only favored those so-called "traffic stars" . . .

Of course, she really deserves our sincere admiration to her acting talents . . She's a talented actress; she should given enough opportunity and a big project to prove herself in a bigger roles.
As one who worked in the legal industry, we really don't want that she is being bullied, looked down and insulted due to her physical look. Judging others on based on how they look are labeled as superficial judgements which can dehumanize their value as a human being. It is just so sad that those in the C-Ent Industry favored more the exterior element than the interior element of a person.
I kept playing your music; "Love's Origin is Unknown" - its lyrics and melodies are so beautiful; the song energizes my spirit to do what is right . .
