I am blown away by this show. It is NOT your typical KDrama. It's intense, real and with some impressive plot twists. Visually it's beautiful and the child actors are impressive. If you have reservations about the implied affair, don't let it stop you from watching this drama. It's really something special. Sad, but unique for sure.

Ji Sung may be familiar from "Kill Me, Heal Me" and "Protect the Boss". He certainly has a bunch of fans who appreciate his eclectic character choices. For those fans, they'll watch anything Ji is in. For those considering this show, give it a try. However, the first episode is average, at best. Stick with it into the 9th episode when the plot turns away from the predictive tropes to some genuine relationships, imperfect lead characters and compelling dialogue. Yes, Ji leads with a nice character arc but actors can't make up the dialogue. The writers are the heroes in this well authored story.

This. Was. Terrible! With such an amazing cast, this drama was one missed opportunity after another. For the record, this is not a romance - unless one can have a romance with alcoholism. Seriously.

Horrible. Don't waste your time. The film attempted to be artsy. Instead it was boring and confusing. Roots canals are more fun.

I really liked this drama. In particular, I liked the relationship between the friends - the authentic way in which the women were so open and supportive of each other. It dealt with real life challenges of women in professional roles. Good show, simple and straightforward.

Review Cruel Romance
I enjoyed this drama despite the poor production values (e.g. It took place in the 1930's or so, but nothing about the costumes, hair, cars or culture were time appropriate.) Also, the male lead, if he were in a contemporary relationship, was a bit hyper controlling and creepy. Still, I liked the cast.
On The Girl Who Sees Scents May 19, 2015
I like this drama despite the fact that the plot is slow and it makes cops look like morons. Also the totally hot villain is often shown working out topless, so there's that!

Ok, please enlighten me: They are twins and 10 years later they'll have a romance? What the?
