IT IS SAID, DO NOT BE TEMPTED BY THE BEAUTY OF A BEAUTIFUL FACE. BEHIND IS A EVIL HEART.
I came across a YouTube video where the speaker discussed how married couples fight, especially focusing on how some women can manipulate their husbands. The message was striking—**if you marry a scheming woman, no matter how happy you may appear, you’re essentially a fool**. You’re unknowingly being used, manipulated behind a mask of beauty and charm.
The title of the drama I’m watching is *Prisoner of Beauty*, and it's incredibly apt. The male lead is metaphorically imprisoned by a beautiful woman, yet he remains completely unaware of the trap he’s in.
The female lead is extremely manipulative—cunning and deceptive—constantly fooling the male lead with her innocent facade. He’s so naïve, genuinely believing in her supposed purity. It’s frustrating to watch.
To be honest, I’m only continuing this drama because of Liu Yu Ning. The female lead drives me crazy with her two-faced behavior. She's calculated, scheming, and plays the role of the innocent victim far too well. Not only is the male lead blind to her true nature, but even his own trusted aide leaks all his secrets to her maid. It’s infuriating. He married a traitor and foolishly thinks he’s being kind and merciful—when in reality, he’s sabotaging his own plans.
Instead of eliminating threats, he gives them chances to stab him in the back. Foolish beyond words. If you want to destroy your enemies, **don’t hesitate—cut the grass and pull out the roots**. That one act of mercy might lead to the destruction of his entire clan. It’s the kind of mistake that feels painfully stupid and avoidable.
Honestly, if they keep fighting like this throughout the series, what’s even the point of getting married? I suppose this never-ending tension is what stretches the drama into so many episodes.
Again, I can't emphasize enough how manipulative the female lead is. She deceives the male lead time and again, and he continues to believe she’s some kind of saint. I’m watching for Liu Yu Ning, and Liu Yu Ning only.
I despise her character—not just her actions, but even her facial expressions irritate me. And don’t get me started on that infuriating fat man who keeps leaking secrets to the maid.
Even though I know the drama may end with them living peacefully, I honestly hope she dies in the end. I know that sounds evil, but I just dislike her that much. She’s the most dangerous type of person—evil in disguise. Just because a drama portrays a happy ending doesn’t mean marrying your enemy ever ends well in real life.
I'm only on Episode 9 and already expecting more betrayals from her. She’s even secretly ordered people to dig tunnels under his land—to undermine and control everything he owns. Seems she is tying ML around her little fingers. In the end the enemy used this to attack the
The other scheming woman is the Lady Yulro , trying to stir trouble in the end gets disfigured by Wei Shao, wanted to take revenge but in the end due to her mistrust in ppl kills those who wants to help her and killed herself.
Donno his advisor helping him or the wife. Also the stupid fat man , how he can be a soldier with his brain, leaking all the info to the wife n anybody. How can he be a General, died in the end.
