I’ve got the same feeling watching the first episodes I don’t really feel sympathy for her. I’ve watched…
My comment was not about her acting prowess.. she is really good at conveying "chalk scratching on the blackboard" kind of edginess. Its just that she feels unidimensional since most of her roles reprise the same response form her. The producers probably appreciate her "barely able to keep it together" act, which is why I called it inspired casting. But as a viewer we all have our own analysis of the person behind the act and to me she conveys a very disagreeable vibe. This is purely personal ... but I see some people have the same impression as well. No offence meant if you feel otherwise.

agree with you. There is something very tormented about her as an actor, as if she has internal demons she cant push down...She fails to communicate peace, harmony in her acting.. I know she is supposed to portray such a character here, but watching her in other works conveys the same edginess (which is a charitable way of putting it). Somehow she doesnt arouse empathy even when she is shown suffering. Lets just say maybe this is a case of inspired casting. Would I like to watch more of her? No, because her portrayal in all her work is unidimensional

Title Sweet Teeth
Umm I liked the story, but it was racist in its dumping of an entire continent as if it was a single country.…
Agree on this blatant racism. It was exasperating how they had this patronizing attitude about Africa. Yes we have plenty wrong but China hasnt exactly covered itself with glory in the past two years. This is casual unprovoked racism. Sorry if it sounds passionate but as an African it feels bad that somebody sitting in some remote corner of the world can stereotype us so nonchalantely
