His acting suits that kind of character. I’ll give him credit for that. But not as versatile as his other drama is flop. And I am not comparing the acting with the other drama’s lead. I said it as their acting on their own drama. Cy & YZ’s acting is brilliant here. They have huge amount of screen time in the heavenly realm. Perhaps you are mentioning the lack of screen time in the mortal realm.

And mostly international fans are the ones who are more critical of the drama because of the huge expectation. MDL rating is low because this site caters international fans. Though the leads acting for me still are the best 🔥🔥🔥. The plot perhaps is messy and draggy around the mortal realm as we all know they try to deviate from the original novel where Yumo is the lead. Anyway, the Chinese people seem to like it because IMMORTAL SAMSARA STILL IS TRENDING EVEN WITHOUT EPISODES FOR 3 DAYS. As Annly said, IS is already in the 3rd place among all online drama this year. Part 2 is not even showed. So still with all the lapses in the plot or story and little promotion, we can still see the power that Yang Zi & Chen Yi hold as well as the other cast & crew.
