This drama is definitely giving me alot of angst and I’m only 1/3 through! 😂 But I’m quite enjoying their love story and the trials they will have to go through down the line.
Actually I read your post on the ending and it made sense. I was actually planning to edit the end as how you’ve described: start with SP1, used the dream scenes in E11 and then end with SP2.
Hopefully, this edit won’t make you cry so much. The music I’ve chosen is a bit on the emotional side, but I feel that it’s the most fitting for the main lead.
Ooo…guqin sounds wonderful. I’m might try something a bit different this time and collab with a friend. She’s great with a flute, and I just got her to agree to make an instrumental version of it. 😍. I also found a good piano version on YouTube as well and just got approval from the pianist to use her cover if I choose to. Not sure which one to use. 😂
I was working on my edit with an American song, but somehow it didn’t give me the right vibe and emotions of the drama. So decided to redo the edit with a more emotional feeling song. I thought the instrumental version of Agarwood OST best fit their story.
I would agree with you on how emotional this drama is turning out for me. It did give me similar feelings as OnO too! 😂
Hi friend! Yes, I’m here. 😅 Finally had the time to pick up this drama after so many people recommended I watch this so I can make an edit. I’ve watched up to about E20 and did I tear up quite a few times. 😭
I was trying to find the instrumental version of the song “Agarwood” because it seems like it’s “their” song. Always comes on when there’s an emotional scene. 🥺
Does anyone know if there’s an instrumental version of the song “Agarwood”? I’m thinking of using it for the summary edit FMV of this drama. That song always comes on when they have their emotional scenes and frankly it’s a really lovely song.
For those who have seen E9 on Netflix, how was the line “How dare you hurt my girl” translated? I noticed the same line was said by DFQC in E15 when he rescued her from Rong Hao, but it was translated as “How dare you catch my people”. So I’m wondering how Netflix had translated this line. Thanks in advance.
Someone commented under the FMV that I made for LBFAD with this interesting info about the Glazed Fire:
@Aisha Gresee: Add an info in your explanation, Liulihuo, the glazed fire power actually saving him from being perished without trace. His primordial spirit was able to store in a form of moon bone jade, the original form of her bracelet. (Actually I read this in some of mandarin news). We could directly see that his glazed fire burning his gold adult body intact with his soul in ep 36, he could grip Orchid’s hand before releasing it, directly morphing him into his moon bone jade, thrown into Orchid’s hand, not disperse into nothingness. Orchid did not know how to revive him at that time, but remember, she trusted miracle of love.
The true form of Dongfang Qingcang was assumed as also a kind of tree. That was why Orchid gave him a nickname of “wooden head - da ma tou”, and she was able to touch and give power to him. She kept nurture his primordial moon bone with flower essence for 500 years, she acknowledged his sacrifice for heŕ in her 500 years narration (the delusion of Dongfang before Taisui attack him was being afraid that his sacrifice was forgotten by Orchid), and finally he was ready to back in the full form.
Liulihuo the glazed fire was a top ultimate power (power up after having hellfire/karmicfire). Dongfang Qingcang was a true immortal so yeah, he was like a phoenix, being back after burning into ashes.
For comparison, on Douban, IS is rated at 5.9 with 471,712 ratings and CLJ (LBFAD) at 7.8 with 458,563 ratings.…
Same here. I couldn’t go pass E10 of IS. 😅 I really wanted to like IS and make a FMV of it, but I couldn’t. I’m still obsessed with LBFAD and LLTG right now. 😂
And I saw some other comments were about funky literal translations of "ben zuo" (literally means "this seat")…
I actually upload the summary edit FMV I made for this on BiliBili and someone did mentioned how they thought “Wood Head” was cute. 😂 I haven’t seen any negative comments regarding that translation.
