I too believe Houchi & Qingmu are extensions of Shanggu & Baijue. They are able to experience their love and express the love without the worries of being a True God and the Three Realms. Shanggu got her wish of being able to love Baijue without the responsibilities of being a god/goddess.

I have to wait until my 5-year-old daughter goes to bed before I can re-watch it again. I don't want to explain to her why I'm crying while watching my laptop...😂

I actually have similar thoughts as you. You can clearly see his pain in when Shanggu sacrificed herself in front of him in E16. He was already blaming himself for pushing her on the path of becoming the Chief God (even though he had no clue about what that entails until the the truth was revealed). From the point of Shanggu's sacrifice, he was resolved in not letting her die. You can clearly see the pain in his eyes when Houchi/Shanggu was hurt (E41) or when she acted distant/indifferent towards him (just as he wanted/planned in preview of E47). He has been suffering from the very beginning trying to protect the one he loves. He's usually keeping his feelings and pain hidden, so yes he will be misjudged.

I'm also Falling Into Your Smile. The comedy there is a breath of fresh air compared to the angst in this drama. 😂

I guess it’s from their experiences as gods that they are able to preach to the mortals about what is right & wrong. Or at least use that as an excuse.

I’ve watched up to E10 and am also liking this drama. The comedy in here is a breath of fresh air compared to the angst in Xu Kai’s other drama Ancient Love Poetry. I’ve been smiling alot whenever I watch this drama.

Gu Jun was definitely a better, as a whole package (integrity, moral), compared to the other two (Muguang and Wu Huan). He remembered that Shanggu chose him regardless of where he came from during the God Realm arc. In my opinion, either Gu Jun or Jingjian would've made a better Heavenly Emperor than Muguang.

Unfortunately, we are all waiting for the subs. These raws (E25-30) are actually WeTV VIP Fast Track, so usually no eng subs are released until the normal schedule of Wed-Fri.

😂 Definitely not good from Xiaosu's perspective. From previews of future episodes, it looks like she's not as insecure as Siqi. She mentioned that both she and Yuzheng are both matured adults.

I must admit she's amazing in here. 😂 I really dislike everything she's done, but watching her onscreen is great. Never seen a villain like her before, definitely deserves an award. 🤣

I remember reading earlier that during the interview Zhou Dongyu mentioned it was a happy ending for the drama. I am holding on to that hope for Tianqi and Yuemi. 🤞

😂 I am laughing at how she thinks she can get rid of these True Gods. She forgot that they were born as True Gods. Her insecurities has caused her to go way over her head, thinking she can be on top. Similar to Xuanyi, thinking they can go against fate/destiny. Look what happened to him.

Yes. She’s able to knockout Tianqi and Baijue. Although her daughter helped her by tricking Baijue to something, which gave Wu Huan the chance to knock him out. With Tianqi, Wu Huan tricked him by being Yuemi.

It would be satisfying to see Shanggu defeat Wu Huan. She was always trying get rid of Houchi. But it would be sad for Shanggu, considering Wu Huan was the maid she hand-picked from the Phoenix Clan when they were in the God Realm.
