First of all I wanna point out the cast of this series. It's kinda star-studded and JossGawin really shone through here. It's not a perfrctly lovey-dovey series after all. Mond, Neo and others.... damn.
The series and it's surrounding theme was really fleshed out. It's not just about the intense sex scenes but you know that the plot has substance. I can forgive the silly editing here and there lol (can't forget that ep 1 where the sfx for dashing against the glass window of the hotel room and then falling straight to Mark's car hahaahah). GMMTV really fleshed out each character of the series too. It's not your typical vampire fanfiction wattpad shit. There are no stereotypes about vampires like disdain for sunshine, crosses and garlic. Admittedly , those didnt offer much star factor to the show but the progression of the plot. There's no lazy ass pace at all. They really deliver each episode that there'll be worth noting happening.
The plot twists too are good such as Thara as a disguised guide to both main characters until it was revealed she's that machiavellian archnemesis. More like Elizabeth Bathory of the series. She's covert that you won't know first that she's this cunning. Nakan, a tragic yet just as evil and a manipulative one too. They really made Mond's character nothing short of like a predatory antagonist. He also hid something tragic but that won't stop me disliking him for killing Tonkla smh. The few last episodes, ngl, shown me his redemption to help Mark and Tong against Thara. I was kinda conflicted if he was like betraying our man, Mark here or not. It's really shifting with his character. I find it silly for the foster mother of Tong to lie about him having this rare condition about bleeding nonstop. The least plot twist i didnt care about lol. I understood Tonkla's character too. The miniscule jealousy he felt with Tong receiving special treatment from the caretaker of the orphanage becuase of his supposed rare condition, amplified further by Nakan's covert manipulation. I really get that. And yes..... we're gonna talk about Mark's side which is provoked by Tong's golden blood. It's not just satiety you get from food but yuh the pleasure or arousal. Yuh I'm referring to the iconic bathtub self-gratification (lol).

The chemistry of JossGawin was really serving on a diamond platter. That's just too generous for me to say. Even kissing scenes, they nailed it. Solid af. I was impressed of how they are good at it. Plus, it looked like GMMTV justified such couple although not outright to consider them on a higher regard just like the pther BL couples like TayNew, KristSingto and more. They really can go far wih the pairing cuz it's so good.

Let me tell y'all, this is such an underrated bl series. Even mediocre bl series receive more attention than this.

The series, as a whole, is a solid top-tier contender I've watched this year. I withheld this for so long lol , epsecially when everybody's been talking about it. This series really grasps your attention with tension (shit that rhymed lol). So peak u really wanna binge watch it. Might be the best bl watch i have had this year. JossGawin really got the treatment they deserve in a series. GMMTV really gave them time to shine.
