I have mixed feelings about this series. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don’t. Pat’s childish crying scenes kind of annoy me, and there’s just something about the kissing scenes that feels a bit off to me
For me, I actually like them individually, Lilly is a hottie and Belle is cute, her acting is 10/10, but as a pair I don’t really see the chemistry. To be honest, that happens to me with many GL couples.

Come on, of course kissing is part of acting and chemistry. If you just stare at each other in slow motion, even two squirrels could have ‘chemistry’. The real skill is kissing someone who isn’t your partner and still making it show the emotion, desire, love, or whatever they want to portray. That’s definitely part of great acting.

I get your point, sure, there were probably a thousand better ways Aiwarin could’ve gotten that information without drugging anyone. But that’s the thing, this is fiction. It’s not always going to follow the most logical path, and sometimes the extreme choices are what make it more dramatic and unpredictable.
Personally, I actually prefer the series version because both Aiwarin and Maewika are toxic in different ways, and so are their fathers. In the novel, the story felt too repetitive for me since it was mostly about sex, but in the series we can’t even guess what they’ll do next or whether what they feel is real love or just a trick. To me, Aiwarin acted out of jealousy or was really worry due to Rashane, and maybe there's some background we do not know, so she rushed to ask Maewika to be together, and from the previews Maewika said yes but is still playing her game.
