« It looks low budget » is the first opinion I had over this drama because it opens on a weirdly animated 3D beast, which honestly didn’t look good even if I never actually minded low budget CGI. But there was Wang Zhuocheng in it + my friend really recommended it to me so I watched it.at the end I just LOVED that drama so much. as said it’s the title, it’s my new roman empire because there’s NO fandom to talk about it
I definitely recommend that drama. Even with « bad » CGI, the fighting scenes are really nice and make you forget that the CGI is low budget. There’s a scene where ML fight a dragon, the dragon is huge, weird 3D, but honestly? I LOVED that fight.
I recommend this drama for the story, the acting and the sceneries. the OST are nice too but not my favourite thing. I put 5 at rewatch value because I am not a rewatcher and I can’t actually have an opinion. The plot twists are pretty nice too. And the characters are really attaching, I loved everyone on ML’s side.
In between Wang Zhuocheng’s roles, Yinfeng has reached the second place in my tier list, just behind Jiang Cheng, so it tells how much I actually loved him.

funny but..
dropped because I didn’t like the random drama… just to add drama. that sa scene made me uncomfortable for personal reason maily, but also because it just made no sense and the characters just all got away with it.as for the story, so far the plot was nice. it was a funny drama, I really liked it. without Yi Mingjun, I wouldn’t have dropped it honestly so. but that SA scene was just not it from me, especially with my fav actor / comfort person face. separating actor and characters ends on that, I just couldn’t stand seeing that face in an SA face
